Episode 5 is a banger

Outis

It’s so tragic cause Chuck is absolutely right about everything he said about Jimmy but the ways he’s going about trying to prove it, PROVES that deep seated resentment he has towards his younger brother, it’s truly a shame it had to go down the way it did but he really left Jimmy no choice in order to protect himself & Kim ultimately, it’s just sad to watch it all fall apart like that. You just can’t act like Jimmy is innocent either though, he DID change those address numbers & should be punished for committing A FELONY by doing so, why he did it doesn’t matter, he committed a crime & once again, he’s for the most part, getting away with it.

That was the same laundry machine with the secret meth superlab underneath it from Breaking Bad. The woman's name is Lydia

Jake Martin

It's tough guys, cause Jimmy really did sabotage Chuck, taking advantage of his debilitated state, embarrassed him professionally, cost his firm a client, then lied about it... But Chuck is such a... he's a spiteful prick consumed with resentment for his own brother. You can't help but root for Jimmy. It's kind of like Jimmy does the wrong thing for the right reasons and Chuck does the right thing for the wrong reasons... Such brilliant character writing. Vince Gilligan is a genius.

Cole hauser

Taken down by a cell phone twice. The way Chuck went about trying to prove Jimmy is guilty made him appear to have nothing more than a personal vendetta after Jimmy proves his point with the phone. Chuck is correct but if he would’ve been more calm and collected instead of focused with deep resentment for Jimmy. Then the facts he gave and had would not have to much of a problem winning his case but his outburst is what changed the result of the outcome. This is where I start to feel bad and you’ll see why.

Josh

That was Krazy-8 that was light on the cash, and Nacho beat the shit out of

Alright, you guys are making me defend Chuck 🙄😂 He isn’t faking. He really believes that he has this condition, but it’s actually all in his head, which Jimmy just proved. And while I agree he’s a spiteful S.O.B., I can at least understand why a lifetime of cleaning up after his brother, who always does the wrong thing, would cause resentment. Also, he really does take the law seriously, and as we have seen in Breaking Bad, Chuck is absolutely right about him 🤷🏻‍♂️

Finally! Been waiting for more BCS!!,! And Chicanery! One of the best episodes!!! Can’t wait!

BJ & ASIA, how do guys not recognize KRAZY-8?????? He's the one that got his ass whopped by Nacho. You missed him in the earlier episodes as well.

I feel a little uncomfortable with how much mockery his mental health issues are receiving. You can hate hate hate Chuck but still recognize that his mental health problems are REAL. Fuck. Don't be so cruel to people, guise. Have some empathy.

rue

This is the physical ailment equivalent of watching someone cut themselves and rolling your eyes. No offense, but you need to use your hearts at times.

rue

Right? I feel sooo uncomfortable. I like Jimmy more, of course, a pretty canon thing, haha. But the way they are discussing Chuck's mental health like he is actively trying to be difficult or struggle. Like his pain isn't actually real? Oof. I oof.

All I have to say is that I’m shocked Michael McKean didn’t win an Emmy for Chuck because this performance here was incredible. And really the awesome thing is that he’s mostly known as a comedic actor!! He’s been in comedy shows and movies since the 70’s. You guys should check out the movie This is Spinal Tap! And same for Bob Odenkirk who is kind of a comedy legend. He wrote for SNL in the late 80’s and had his own sketch show on HBO with David Cross in the late 90’s - Mr. Show with Bob and David. It’s so funny because his “Saul” commercials remind me so much of his show Mr. Show. Bob had actually never done drama before Breaking Bad. He had to be convinced to do it because he’s a comedian at heart. And he actually turned down Better Call Saul at first - he thought there was no way he could carry a dramatic show - but he ended up with several Emmy noms. That’s part of the fun for me of watching Jimmy and Chuck go toe to toe. Not only great performances, but great dramatic performances by two people who are well known for their comedy.

And I agree with what others are saying about Chuck. He’s definitely in pain. He wouldn’t be faking that when he’s on his own. Look that the lengths he’s gone to - taking all electronics out of his house, living in the dark, without a fridge, and in dangerous conditions with all the lanterns and exposed wires. It’s not just about making people bend to his will. It’s a psychosomatic issue - his mind believes it’s real and his body reacts as if it’s real. No one would go to those extremes and put themselves through such a harsh life if they weren’t really feeling it. That being said, he should have been treated for this mental illness long ago. Which is what Dr. Cruz (who Chuck called) has told Jimmy twice now - he needs intensive care because he is a danger to himself and others. And like Howard pointed out, the Mesa Verde files should not have even been in Chuck’s home where others could have access to them. And they wouldn’t have been if Chuck had already undergone proper treatment. It’s an absolute liability for HHM. Jimmy enabled Chuck’s mental illnesses by going along with whatever he wanted instead of urging him to seek proper care. Also, if someone goes to the length to tin foil their entire house, they have a problem, no matter how much Chuck said he was “playing it up.” It’s all just sad.

@51:30 Asia- right right...the battery made you do it lmao thx guys ! as always, love the reaction and commentary.

Cynthia M Farrington

Rebecca had her cell phone there the whole time and Chuck didn’t feel anything until he knew she had it. He is intelligent enough to realize that his illness is psychosomatic, yet he doesn’t acknowledge it. I don’t know how he came to this conclusion, that he is made ill by electronic devices, but Jimmy is not helping him by enabling him in his psychosis. He’s trying to be sympathetic to his ‘condition’ to earn Chuck’s love I think. I wish they would have shown what happened to him to cause this breakdown.

Miss Melissa

I wish they would have shown what caused his breakdown too. He was still working when Jimmy passed the bar. And Jimmy had been taking care of him for a year before the events of the show start where Jimmy is struggling to build a practice. My theory would be that it’s a manifestation of his deep inability to grasp Jimmy as a lawyer and the realization that there was nothing he could do to stop Jimmy from practicing. As he said Jimmy with a law degree was like a chimp with a machine gun. With his parents gone, and his wife left, the only thing he had left he truly cared about was the law. It zapped his brain. Notice how his condition worsens when he catches Jimmy bending or breaking the law? It’s landed him in the hospital twice now.

Kimberly Tyda

I think Chuck is an arrogant ass, but his condition is very much psychological. He believes he has a real sensitivity to electricity. I saw a show that featured people who had similar psychological issues and the filmmakers pulled this same phone trick on a woman who believed she had EHS. It was an effective, but rather cruel way to make the point.

ChipmunkFF

It's all good man! What a show!

vceisdead

Unfortunately, charms and charisma over power mental illness for most people

Robert

How is it possible Howard only wears one suit

Robert

Also, I feel like we need another good show in the mix... im not a dexter guy... i have given my affection for too many antiheroes in my day and dexter is just too dark a commitment for me, haha. I understand people like it though, but I can't root for a serial killer. that's where I draw the line personally. plz do narcos or mad men you won't regret it.

Josh

1:30:01 I got say, Victor has quick F-ing draw. Damn, he could have made it in the Wild West. I don't think they had box cutters back then

Josh

Her name is Lydia

Josh

I bet a lot Breaking Bad fans that say I couldn't get into BCS, never made this far. Lol u guys haven't seem nothing yet

Karim

And to think i actually felt sorry for Chuck at one time.

Michael King

Well the way he gets around that is he actually has a code. He kills rapists, murderers, child abusers, and other serial killers.

Dan Gonya

That's the second time Crazy 8 showed up with his Tampico uniform on and ya'll didn't notice.
