Better Call Saul S5. E5 and E6

Bill B.

Brightens my day every time you drop a BCS! BJ is right, Max was Gus’ partner that Hector killed at Don Eladio’s pool. The doctor I believe is the same one who treated Gus when he got his revenge and took out the cartel with poison.

Robert

Gus definitely invests in people. I think of the story he tells about the animal that stole the fruit from his tree and the way he wishes to keep hector alive. He's a puppetmaster with people too.

Jake Martin

Cool little tidbit- The construction worker who argues with Jimmy about the address was none other than John DiMaggio! Voice of Bender from Futurama, and about a thousand other things, too.

Lol Kim didn't call Jimmy a squatter, she was referring to old man Acker. She is waiting "again" for someone else to call Jimmy a lowlife or similar so she can probably unleash him on them. Apart of the reason she is doing what she is doing currently, is because She knows Jimmy is just as smart if not smarter than most of the lawyers she deals with. He just comes with extra artillery most aren't ready for, and she is testing how far it and he can actually go. She is having fun doing it, even if it is a dangerous type of fun.

This is awesome news, because now I can't not hear bender in his voice now lol.

Kim's out of the blue suggestion to get married is partly a legal tactic to take advantage of "spousal testimonial privilege", which protects people from being compelled to testify against their spouse. She doesn't trust what Jimmy/Saul will do in the future and wants this protection. It's also partly because she still loves him.

Howard does not deserve any of what Jimmy is doing to him. Jimmy is just mad because Howard actually has worked on himself & was able to move past all that came with Chuck, which Jimmy is just completely ignoring. I know it’s like, why now is he offering him a position at HHM but Howard HAS looked out for Jimmy, whenever he wasn’t playing along with Chuck’s vendetta against him. It’s so complicated though but no, Howard is not asking for it. He’s a good guy, underneath the pricky lawyer persona, if anything, the only thing Howard is guilty of is being a square lmao 😂

There's a pretty cool easter egg at 1:32:00 where Roberts is talking to someone about an opossom, if you can recall, back in S2 of Breaking Bad, Jesse is talking to Walt about his Aunt who had cancer that spread to her brain, and that she was hearing an opossom in her floorboards and even named it, that's her on the phone.

N M

The low-key private investigator “Mr. X”, who Saul and Kim hired to find dirt on Kevin Wachtell, is the same loud macho tough guy in Season 1 who showed up with multiple guns to be a bodyguard for “Pryce” the Hummer driver. Mr. X lost the job to Mike, when he collapsed after Mike punched him in his trachea and took away his guns.

Michael Nelson

Tell ole Douglas he's the bestest boy for me :)

That's an incredible catch.

asiaandbj

Yeah he definitely comes off as square if anything!! Lol

Davey11

That's so cool

I agree. I really like Howard. Other than being a wee bit pompous, he's not a bad guy. I think he felt genuine remorse for what happened to Chuck and also for how he treated Jimmy in the past. He's really not a villain and didn't deserve this or having his car damaged.

Jesse

Except Detective Roberts refers to the person on the phone as Sir. So the popular theory is that it may have been Jesse on the phone calling on behalf of his Aunt Ginny. Cool stuff yo. Season 3, episode 10. The “Fly” episode directed by Rian Johnson. That’s the episode you hear about his Aunt and the possum. Unique offbeat episode.

Michael King

The old woman is Max’s mother. She doesn’t know Gus and Max were together. Gus said everyone in the town just thinks he’s the doctor’s friend.

Dan Gonya

I gotta show Jimmy how to play Smoke on the Water correctly...

Hei$enberg

you gotta remember Howard only ever did negative things towards Jimmy under Chucks orders. He genuinely is reaching out to Jimmy admitting it was a mistake not to hire him trying to make up for mistakes and Jimmy does all that to him. As much as I love Jimmy/Saul this is one of the things I never liked

While I see your point regardless of if you're doing something as a favor to someone or not at the end of the day you're still responsible for your own actions.

Old dogs are the best. A bit more needy but their golden years are my favorite.
