yeah I felt this too, criticism is fine but the comments are overly doing it. Its far from a good album in my opinion but it isn’t horrible

It’s trying to be Fantano. Like sheep they follow…. I think the album is truly the sound that interests her, and feels comfortable in her voice. I am kinda surprised that people have dismissed her writing chops. The is Grown Ass “good riddance” and the secret of us was different because, as Gracie has acknowledged, Audrey brings out the more extroverted side in Gracie. I would like to see her explore other production teams to work with. You see how much better “Look At My Life” sounded with Dan Nigro. All the best parts of that song have his signature. Perhaps Olivia could share him. Fly higher Gracie.

This album wasn’t for me, but I will say that Will’s chat irks me cause they act like a hive mind. Will will say something and suddenly everyone agrees. Like it’s so annoying. Everyone will be liking it in the chat and then Will says something negative and then everyone switches up. It’s like they can’t think for themselves.

You really hit the nail on the head with the description of how she uses these lofty, overly descriptive phrases that usually denote substantive lyricism, but beneath it is just a smattering of gobbledy gook. It's like she strung together a bunch of 2014 tumblrisms but never put in the work to connect them or consider what they meant or why they resonated with anyone.
