The creatures crossed into our world via a rift generated from a catastrophic science experiment that left much of the world at that time crippled. In early expeditions to the island afterwards large portions of the expedition teams were dying within hours of landing. The soon discovered that the rift was generating ionizing background radiation that was deadly to about 10% of the women & 100% of the men, certain genetic markers allowed the rest to survive the radiation un-affected. Neon-Dark was first discovered when two female scientists managed to exterminate one and ventured inside. The discovery launched humanity into a new age of development as the element possessed beyond comprehension...interstellar travel has left the earth a somewhat forgotten place. Neon-Dark is priceless & the two scientists went their separate ways, only to form companies of their own who's goal is to extract Neon-Dark but competition is fierce and after rapidly militarizing, it is now two all female mercenary facing off for the most priceless commodity known to woman.
