I saw an interesting article about brittle star and jellyfish.

I'm really curious about what they think of this starfish as a jellyfish's sight.

If it were me, it would be very annoying.

As you know, I used to be a jellyfish in my dream🤣

But I guess the big creatures in the ocean are usually generous.

Anyway It'll be fun to paint it someday.

I have drawn various insects, but it is almost the first time drawing mantis has ever been.

I watched some documentaries about them mimicking flowers.

It's really fantastic fact is, they're not just mimicking flowers.

They look more fascinating to the prey than the real flowers!

And I agree, they are more beautiful than flowers😍

Omg your jellyfish are always so beautiful! That last one's expression is great LOL I also had no idea that any starfish hitched rides on them, that article was interesting! AAAA Orchid mantis are my favorite mantis, they're so stunning! Definitely even more beautiful than flowers, their movements are neat :) I think the ghost mantis are great too, if you ever want to look them up (phyllocrania paradoxa)! Thank you for these :D

That's right! They're wonderful too. I feel the wonder of nature whenever see the relevant data. I am interested in insects that copy flowers and leaves these days. It would be nice to draw fallen leaves with them around fall🍂🍁🍃

Wow! Orchid mantids look so good in your style! I'm glad you could draw them :) apparently they're the only insects known to mimic flowers! I wanted to keep a mantis as a pet but found it was illegal in Canada... lol. For a suggestion... try to draw other countries animals? For Canada, we have lots of national animals. Moose, loon, beaver, otter, salmon, lobster are all ones I think of immediately. Just an idea! It would be cute :)

Glad you like this sketch. I didn't know that It's illegal in Canada. Maybe it's because of poaching? I've never seen anyone who take care of Orchid mantis in my country too. But it seems like a good country to have many laws about wild animals. As you know, most animals I drew are from abroad, because I live in the cities, lol😆 I drew similar thing last year as work. It was to making patterns about animals living in same mountains. Drawing various animals on one sheet was more difficult than I thought, but fun job. If I go to Canada someday, I would like to draw animals in Canada. I heard the natural environment is very nice.
