I put a color line on the border.

So that people feel more fluffy...

Usually, I do this when I draw furry animals.

It's a little detail that you can hardly feel if you don't zoom in on the picture.

Yesterday, I found a spider in my room for the first time this year.

What a coincidence that I found a spider when I drew a spider😁

--------------------------------------------------------

Cobalt blue tarantula (Cyriopagopus lividum)

Arizona blond tarantula (Aphonopelma chalcodes)

Pinktoe tarantula (Avicularia Avicularia)

Indian ornamental tarantula (poecilotheria regalis)

Costa Rican zebra tarantula(Aphonopelma seemanni)

Mexican red-legged tarantula (Brachypelma emilia)

Antilles pinktoe tarantula & baby (Caribena versicolor)

Cyriocosmus elegans

Venezuelan Suntiger (Psalmopoeus irminia)

Typhochlaena seladonia

Greenbottle blue tarantula (C. cyaneopubescens)

Brazilian black tarantula(Grammostola pulchra)

Brazilian whiteknee tarantula (Acanthoscurria geniculata)

Rose hair tarantula(Grammostola rosea)

Thank you safa😁 Have a happy day too!

CaptainMirage

QwQ you make me kinda miss my tarantulas 😭😭😭😭

pikaole

oh😭didn't know you raised tarantulas!

Frankie Bays

AAAAAA they're all so precious! Do you have a favorite type of spider? Also, do you have any desire to do more spiders? Orb weavers are very diverse and a bit more spindly than tarantulas, but feature some BRIGHT and wild colors! Trichonephila clavipes, for example, is such a bright yellow it even has a yellow web! And their webs usually have TINY silver spiders called dewdrop spiders (such an adorable name) that clean up prey items too small for it to eat. Kind of like how some species of burrowing tarantula will keep a pet frog to help protect it's eggs (and it will protect the frog and its eggs too). Anyways, I really love spiders and I'm so glad you're drawing some!

CaptainMirage

Technically I did! Had 2 tarantulas with my Long Distance ex boyfriend! One of them is a Poecilotheria Ornata, and the other is Acanthoscurria geniculata. 😭

pikaole

I think my favorite is jumping spider haha. I tend to like small animals. I watch many Orb weavers in outside. we called them 'horang spider', horang means tiger in our language. (their patterns looks like tiger yellow and black.) Didn't know about dewdrop spiders, so I searched and wow, they have shiny belly! You really know well about spiders haha :D Thank you Frankie Bays!

Thuban Rodríguez

Awwww. I love them! I need all of them as my roomates! Thanks for sharing!

pikaole

I think you have been nice to them. They will miss you too.

pikaole

Hahaha thank you so much Thuban!

pikaole

yes they are😂🕷💕

CaptainMirage

I wish. I never got to see them face to cute fluffy beasts :(

I looked for horang spider, they seem to be trichonephila clavata. Such a lovely cousin of the species we have here. In the US we call them banana spiders because of how bright yellow they are, but it can cause some confusion because there are spiders from Brazil that can come in shipments of bananas that are VERY dangerous that can also be called "banana spider", but the spiders I'm talking about are gentle giants (the size of my hand sometimes!). I learned so much because there are so many around me. They build webs that go all the way across the road to my house with up to 50 spiders all in the web. Do they do that there? It's so stunning to see so many in one place

pikaole

Banana spiders! 😂cute name..! I looked it up too, and the horang spider was Argiope amona! Where you live, they call you black and yellow garden spider. This spider is one of the largest spiders I can see where I live, so It's hard to imagine a spider the size of hand😲(even I looked so many photos of big size tarantulas for this painting haha)

Jellywish

I LOVE tarentulas!!!! And yours are specially cute!!

pikaole

😁💕Thank you Lasciva!

pikaole

Oh🥰Thank you so much Jellywish 💕

Aluvian

Tarantulas are the best spider! I love how fuzzy they are.

pikaole

Haha yes, I love that point too! Thank you Aluvian!

Bria Nagy

I love that you showed how fuzzy they are! :) They really turned out so super-cute. :)

pikaole

Thanks Britta! Glad you like finished artwork 💜

pastelcrayfish

I have a Brazilian Black tarantula named Kali! The one you drew is so precious! I also have a Chaco golden knee tarantula named Zareen, if you haven't checked them out they're really pretty.

pikaole

Oh!!!!! cute named tarantulas! I'm glad I drew one of them! I searched Chaco golden knee tarantula and they are beautiful😭

Hilary Abraham

These are so cute! I don't know if while you were doing research you saw any photos of the Pink-toe (Avicularia) as a spiderling (baby), but their colours switch! When they are young, they have light bodies and black toes, and when they get older their bodies get darker and their toes become pink :)

pikaole

Yes! I saw the photos! There are many cases where colorful animals turned completely different when they grow. For example, there are adult and baby Antilles pinktoe tarantula in this picture, who are blue when they are young but change to purple when they grow up. Nature is so amazing 😁
