Hi there you most amazing freaking people!

Announcement first: I've signed with Podium Audio to do the second half of the series. Books 4-6 have been officially contracted!

Update: First - I think we're baout 15 chapters from the end of book 4. I'm so so excited for what I have coming up for you (and I'm sure I'll take a detour or six when I finally get around to drafting those chapters haha).

Secondly - My new idea is coming along swimmingly and I'm getting so excited to work on this. Hoping to get myself a wee bit of first draft backlog so I can start on sketching out this new idea in more indepth detail.

Thirdly - I am working on gettng a little ahead so I can take Christmas off for a couple of weeks and still have chapters for you all. Kiddo will be home, and we all know how well my time management skills cope when she isn't at school.

Now for the Question.

I've had a couple of exit surveys now that say: I wasn't as active as expected.

I'm having a bit of trouble processing that. I post 4 chapters every week, I do try to acknowledge or respond to comments (though I'm sure I've missed some), and I post an update every few weeks.

What more can I do? I really appreciate everyone who chooses to support me here (frankly I'm grateful for support everywhere and anywhere, but you guys here on Patreon make me push out those chapters even if I don't feel like it. You're freaking wonderful).

So should I just post more random life updates? Thoughts about characters? My thought process behind the budding new series? Keep on as I'm already doing.

Feedback is super appreciated.

Oh I adore Kira and Co. It's just that writing in someone elses world is really hard. I burned myself out pretty badly writing SAAU and didn't publish anything for 2 years afterward. Having to limit myself and creativity to work inside of a well established system (a system I adore reading by the way), was insanely difficult when I'd always just created my own. As much as Tao is an absolute gem of a person and probably let me get away with a lot more system bending than anyone else... there are still aspects of the story I couldn't pursue due to the established system I'm so glad you're still around, but SAAU is on the backburner indefinitely for now. I'm so sorry.

For me I think it should be a matter of consistency, so perhaps try to write the chapters whenever you're able to but don't post them immediately, but rather on a fixed schedule that's always respected. And, but that's probably only me, ensure that you have enough chapters during the month so that the final cost per chapter is less than 1€/chapter. Though I'm not sure others are so strict with their limits as I am, otherwise Shirtaloon would have a lot less subscribers with his constant breaks...
