Dark Narthex (Variants) (Patreon)

[20x30] - Gridded and Ungridded

Variants: (Plague and Arcane)

Plague: The chapel, down to its very rafters, reeks of rot. Scattered amongst the mossy stones are remnants of bone and sinew, perhaps  remains from past sacrifices. The grisly visage of a bisected skeleton hangs overshadowing the altar. Although you cannot see what foul concoction is roiling in the cauldron from here, you can  certainly smell it.

Arcane: Often Divine and Arcane magic find places to overlap. In this sacred space, there is an aura of reverence, and an omnipresent hum of power in the air. Engraved into the walls, and the multiple obelisks are glowing runes in a language vastly unknown to the world. This world, at least.
