I will need some male characters for the next game, so I decided that next 5 youtube paintings will be about them. Not sure yet who exactly he could be

Have you decided in which kind of environment the village will be existing this time? Near the woods again or more plains or arid/mountainous? Because this kind of decides what professions we would expect.

A river on the south, probably some forest area on the north. Swamp area to the west, along the river, and on the east I'm considering an entrance to a dwarven mine

Hmm, then I would imagine him as a Peat Harvester, although it would depend on a bog rather then a swamp. Working in the sun, sweating and providing the village with a source of fuel for the fires, a potential export produkt. Also there is the bog iron which then could be used in a potentiual village smithy. And on top of that in the bog/swamp he could find things, artefacts and such which could be used as plot hooks. So yeah, send him into the bog/swamp would be my suggetions. Peat-Farmer
