This one's all about how C++ control structures translate to ASM. If we want fast code, we should generally steer away from C++ structures, towards conditional moves, and branchless code.

I am hoping to get another 2 vids out by the end of this month. Something to work towards.

Cheers for the support mates :)

Modern x64 Assembly 13: Control Structures (If statements, do while, while and for loops)

In this video, we'll look at control structures, and how they look in both C++ and Assembly. We will look at basic If Statements, branchless programming with CMOVxx instructions, While, Do/While and For loops. As well as a little at the regular ASM loop, which is something like a do while loop. This is great creel! I love this style of video covering program structure as it is quite a bit different than in HLLs. I think I mentioned it would be useful to see jump tables and perhaps a few other variants like that as well. Keep up the great work, happy to support!

What's a Creel?

Cheers mate! I will add it to this vids ideas list :) Actually, I've never looked into how compilers do this. Certainly got methods of my own I can present. Anywho, cheers for support and suggestion brus, have a good one :)
