Assembly language is maybe the most misunderstood programming language of all. In this video, we'll look at clearing up some common misconceptions surrounding this language.

The sound from the main mic was not usable, so I have used the camera mic instead. I have recorded a second video with the same audio, I will wait to see the feedback on this one to decide whether to record again.

Cheers for the support all, I want to wish all a happy and safe holiday season! :)

Assembly Language Misconceptions

In this video we look at some misconceptions about Assembly language. Apologies for the sound in this one (and possibly the next too!), the main audio was not usable so I have used the camera mic instead. Thanks for the great video! Can't wait for the "Assebly is no longer needed due to optimizing compilers" misconception video. In my experience compilers are not good at compiling to efficient AVX-512 "vectorized" code. Intrinsic help but all decorations (e.g. {bcst} )and other instruction features are not available in intrinsic => so leads you to hand code in AVX-512 assembly to really get best use/throughput of the AVX-512 ports (0 and 5)
