Watching Blizzard: Quiet day... (Patreon)

It's less than two weeks to BlizzCon, which means we're probably in for a drought (followed by a deluge) of news. Soon we'll know about new content for everything (except Diablo), but in the meanwhile we'll have to make do with datamining and other news tidbits.

New races may be coming to the next WoW expansion

• Thank the dataminers for this one. Hints in the patch 7.3 files suggest we may be getting new playable "sub races," like Highmountain Tauren and Nightborne Elves. (Also Void Elves, but none of us actually know what those are.)

Need more WoW race and class speculation?

• Anne contemplates new race and class combinations that could make their way into the game, no datamining required..

You can now pre-order the next Warcraft novel

• Warcraft: Before the Storm will explain what happens after Legion, which may lead us into the next expansion's story. It's due out on May 18th, and we'll hear more about it at BlizzCon.

Break out your tinfoil hat

• Rossi is back on the speculation train with a new TFH edition of Know Your Lore. This week: Helya's betrayal.

Hey! Destiny 2 is out for PC tomorrow!

• It may not be a Blizzard game, but it's in the Battle.net launcher. Are you going to be playing?
