Watching Blizzard: No, really, what are we supposed to do for two weeks? (Patreon)

Rossi posed the question of what everyone’s doing before the WoW expansion launches and, honestly, I don’t know. I suppose it’s a nice quiet time to grind out old achievements and transmogs, but I’m having trouble working up the enthusiasm. I suppose there’s Hearthstone to kill time with in the meanwhile, though… oh, yeah, and something called the news. Can’t forget that.

That thing all of your friends have been shouting about

• For better or worse, everyone has an opinion on what Sylvanas has done today. Here’s her Warbringers short, which you’ve already seen if you played through this week’s quest line.
• Also, whatever you think, be nice to your fellow gamers and the devs, too. A video game story is no reason to be a jerk. Be nice out there, kids, and maybe it will encourage others to be nice, too. Woo to niceness! Yahhh!

Some legendary abilities have become talents… and that means you can stack them

• At least for a few more levels. Here’s a rundown.

You might have noticed leveling has been slower lately…

• And Blizzard — who last week said they didn’t know what was causing it — have issued a band-aid fix by nerfing mob health and increasing mob XP. So if you thought leveling felt sluggish in 8.0, give it another try!

Chromie is a pint-sized terror… sometimes

• In Heroes of the Storm, anyway. In WoW she’s our friend. I think. But back to Heroes: a Chromie nerf will make her a bit easier to play against and a bit less hot and cold for anyone who plays her. It’s a win/win, but it also means her maximum potential terror level is a little lower than it was.

Daughter of the Sea may be even more haunting in other languages

• If you’ve only listened to Jaina’s Warbringers short in English, you’re missing out. (For the record, my favorite is French.)

It looks like we’re about to have a lot more Overwatch League teams

• We don’t have dates for season 2 yet, but we do have some strong rumors on the game’s upcoming teams. ESPN reports that Paris, Guangzhou, and Atlanta will all be joining the team lineup, so maybe we’ll all have new favorites soon.

Wondering about those new faces?

• Wonder no more. While we aren’t posting their star signs or anything, here an introduction to everyone who’s joined the Blizzard Watch team this week.

And that’s all for now. Until next time, this is Liz, signing out.

P.s., I just really like that header image, which is why you see it whenever Chromie comes up. Sorrynotsorry.
