OMG I love it

Pamela Lunsford

Looks good! It’s out sooner than I expected which makes me happy. I’m really looking forward to finding out what will happen next.

jordan silvester

Loving the cover can’t wait to binge read any chance of getting book 2 as well I heard you already wrote it 😁

James Parker

Hell yesss bossss!!!!!! Grabby hands and gimmy gimmy gimmy

Joshua

What's next on patreon?

Rapsten

Fairly certain AL3 is next

gmc

Cover gives hints on the skills Ben will get by late book. His regen is in his inner ring, but that remains otherwise empty. He has 4 skills in the middle ring of 9. One in the outer ring of 27.

Spiderfox

Awesome cover. Did Paul come up with the icons for each skill or did you give him a list?

Sam

Looking forward to this. Looks like the skill in his outer ring might be Clean (doesn't that look like a bar of soap to anyone else?). Not sure what the others will be though that inner one looks health related (bleeding or causing increased bleeding or something like that).

Aaron

Yep, AL3 Teran Tactics according to discord.

Nozzy

Yea think the bar of soap is the clean skill he saw after the delve. Top right looks like maybe a taunt or to draw attention to him since he is a tank. The blood drop with a plus denotes maybe a passive healing aura or something? Shield maybe a block or a bash with the force coming off it. The orange head one not sure intimidation or resilience maybe? So side note means AL 3 chapters next Monday then?

Erik Daguerre

And my guess cooking in the very outer ring. Pretty much what I was thinking, though the blood+ I'm thinking is more just a passive health up skill.

Daniel Schinhofen

It doesn't actually. Paul thought it would look empty if we didn't put some skills in, so most of those he doesn't have at the end of book 1.

Daniel Schinhofen

I gave him names for some skills, along with what they'd do. These do not represent book 1's skills.

Allan Joyal

I like the cover. Very well done.

Rapsten

Now do we all stop reading heavenly chaos to read the preview of AL3 or do we wait until we finish HC first?

Tim Nielsen

it is always fantastic to put an actual face to the names in the stories. they are both good looking people and it's a shame they had to go through some of the things they did. but I'm sure things will only get better maybe a little worse first but sure to get better. thanks for the chapters and the look at the cover, looking forward to the book.

Cole

I think this is probably the most appealing cover art I have seen on one of your stores they did a great job.

Gelatinous Cube

Whoohoo! New series, and the continuation of AL!

Craig Coxson

I am happy and sad that the pre-release chapters are coming to an end. I'm sad because I sometimes think I read too fast, especially since I should finish reading HC no later than the 12th since it releases on the 11th. While I have taken to re-reading the books right before the release of the next one, there is still a fair amount of time before the next release in a series. This is not a complaint about DS, since I am in awe of his workman ethic regarding his writing cycle (wish I was half as good with my own writing.) This is just a sadness that good work takes time, and a joy that there are so many good series being worked on. I'll feel the same when we get to the release date for AL3. Yes, I just wanted the book now, dangit, but the release cycle gave me time to think, and seriously re-read all of the chapters for HC1. I think I read the first chapter no less than 5 times, and even gleaned new ideas I would have missed before. I will, of course, be re-reading the entirety of HC1 before the chapter releases at 4 AM (just 11 more hours baybay!!!) and will maybe re-read the entire book from the front cover (probably not...too impatient), but that doesn't change this sense of loss that happens when something comes to an end. While not all of our questions regarding the world and characters will be answered by the end of the novel, most of our suppositions about Ben, Atropos, Ellen and their other classmates will most likely have reached a first conclusion. I am looking forward to it.

Just got my [Kindle] copy! 🥰🤩😍

Nanaimo12

Woohoo! just bought it - I am SO glad I don't have to wait any longer!

Max

Where did you all get it? It's not showing up on Amazon for me.

Joshua Morris

I thought this was coming out tomorrow, well shit I'm not getting any sleep.

Matthew Malkin

got it. yay. now I know what I'm doing for the rest of the evening

Poppy V

Great timing.. I just finished a book and was looking to see what I should pick up next.

Matthew Malkin

So when does Bodaciously Delicious Schinhofen Meals get released?

Sam

I think getting the book chapter by chapter gives us more time to really think about what we have read and come up with theories. When you have the entire book, you don't really think about it, you just turn the page and keep reading.

Tim Nielsen

I just finished the book and it is awesome. for me this story is intriguing and very interesting and I liken it unto a little bit like Alpha world Series. I really like how people are portrayed as overcoming monstrous situations and coming out on top stronger for it and overcoming adversity at some of its worst. anyway enjoyed the book can hardly wait till the next one hahaha but looking forward to what's coming out next in patreon.

Gelatinous Cube

Haven't quite finished yet, but wow, these characters are broken. I'm very intrigued by the slow burn (and it totally makes story sense), and really looking forward to how these three fit their broken pieces together.

lotrmaster0

I both love and hate you right now. Love that you gave me the start of another awesome series. But I hate that you are making me wait for the next book. I was quite bummed when I realized I was at the end and now I've got to wait on the rotation to come back around. So many good series, but I hate the wait for the next one. I ate with others though that you did a really good job with the trauma and it's not just a quirk but actually feels like it's coming from someone who's experienced some form of it and dealt with the long term consequences of it. It's made what would already be a good book even better because the characters now have added depth.

Jo

Loved the book, you have made a great new series. I would love you read Bodaciously Delicious Schinhofen Meals too, maybe as a bonus for the next book?

Kori Prins

Not a big deal, but the links are missing from the post here.

Wanted to provide what I hope is some constructive feedback for this book after having read it last week. Tried to take some time to digest it after finishing. Overall, while Aethers is still my favorite, I really enjoyed the world building and RPG system that was setup here. It makes sense, it's easy to comprehend and was well explained. And I really like the characters. But. Where this potentially falls apart for me is the mental health and relationships aspect. My biggest issue with Dungeon Crawlers, and the reason l, for me at least, that I quit reading 3.5 books in was because the relationships and party makeup felt like a literal carbon copy of Alpha World. To the point it was all I could think about every time they interacted. It was distracting and boring. Cyra was clearly Julia and Trish was clearly Karen from a relationship perspective. It didn't feel like they had a real relationship in DC because they felt like a slightly digested and regurgitated version of them. I sort of got it from a familial standpoint, but still greatly disliked the lack of separation and uniqueness. And unfortunately, the next mental issues book, which i loved from Alpha and really was looking forward to seeing again, feels like it has the same issues, but worse, because here we are with a 3rd series that feels like a very derivative carbon copy. Atropos is Cyra, and Sadie is clearly Trish. So much so that the entire time I was reading I was wondering when Atropos and Sadie were going to have sex and make Ben wait. It feels that similar. Granted, that doesn't happen in the first book, but to me, saying this is a slow burn romance, yet having it happen the same way, with the same type of characters as DC, with the only real changes being the names and it happening in 1 book in DC but this being "slow" and happening in 2 or 3 books like Alpha World doesn't fix the "problem". Sort of makes it worse. So I'm providing feedback, praying I'm wrong, that Daniel will read this, know that it needs to be different so this series is it's own thing from a relationship perspective. Make how they resolve the issues different. Let's not have this be DC 2.0 where it falls apart and we only get 4 books. Not that DC failed for this specific reason, but it was the reason I personally stopped reading. I'm looking forward to the next book and praying I'm wrong and misguided. Because the relationship regurgitation aside, I'm loved the world and the intrigue within it. Please keep up the good work!

Sam

They are there, just not visibly highlighted. If you hover over the words after the colon, it shows that they are linked.

Sam

I enjoyed the book but couldn't help wonder what prevents someone from just replacing removed spheres? Is there actual damage done when a sphere is removed?

Kori Prins

Hmm...maybe it's a limitation with the mobile app then. I cannot see any link to the book in the post when viewing it on the mobile app.

Became a fan thanks to the Luck’s Voice series and Andrea’s audio. But I inhaled this book on release and it inspired me to take the Patreon plunge. Now, I’ll just be eagerly waiting for this to make the rotation again.

Daniel Schinhofen

It hasn't been talked about in the series yet. Anything not mentioned is open to fan opinion until it is written down.

Daniel Schinhofen

I want to correct things, but spoilers. But Cyra and Atropos being similar...hahahahahahaha. Atropos would punch you in the face, Cyra would hide behind someone. Wait for books 2 and 3, then re-examine this.

L_S87

Thank you for responding, Daniel. At first, I was taken aback. I thought you were belittling my concerns by myopically focusing on Atropos not being like Cyra outside of the relationship while ignoring that she's very timid, just like Cyra, inside the relationship. Or, that's how I view her. And that's when I finally got it. You don't see her that way at all. Because, *spoilers*, and *spoilers* and *more spoilers here as well*. You can't explain why she's different because it would ruin everything for all of us. But, you built her, you know how different she is. Hence, be patient and wait for books 2 and 3. Which I will. Part of my reticence is that the chaos portals feel very much like dungeons, probably intentionally, and I couldn't help but go straight back to that comparison and it being the only series you've written I couldn't finish. Again, thank you for responding. Many authors don't, or if they do, they get horribly defensive. Your recommendation of waiting until the next book and reevaluating is the right course, and I thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Looking forward to the release of AL3!

CARL

Read this book in less than 2 days off of Amazon Kindle. Can’t wait for Book 2. Need a new fix. How’s progress on the Aether,s Revival series?

Daniel Schinhofen

Both are in the rotation, so they will come up again when it's their time.

CARL

Not sure if you've posted the "rotation". Can you post it or direct me to where it's posted??

Spiderfox

The rotation is posted at both his facebook page and on his Discord

jmundt33a

Audiobook dropped today. Been waiting for this since the first day reading the e-book.🥳

Trevor Mergen

Signed up for the patreon just to let you know that I loved this book. Possibly tied with AR as my favorite. I really enjoy the relationship with Atropos. I found the way she spirals to be very relatable to what Ive experienced with my own struggles which lead me to be very attached to the character. Read the whole book in one setting. I have enjoyed all or your books that I have read so far but I am especially looking forward to more of this series. Thanks!
