Jo

That looks awesome

Kolchak

It does look awesome. Also the only good bug is a dead bug 😀

David Shmilowitz

given the egg sacs present, the cover looks to be depicting an entoma homeworld, or at least one of their breeding grounds.

Nozzy

Whenever it comes out I’m putting down whatever book I’m reading at the time in favor of this one.

hill44

Kinda looks like an Archer without missile racks.

jmundt33a

Either this is still a sim, the plot is going to accelerate drastically, or this book is going to be huge. Obviously, I would vote for option 3.

Pamela Lunsford

Great! I’m really enjoying this series. Hard to pick a favorite from the two new ones.

jmundt33a

The title’s a little tongue-in-cheek too. It’s partially about Badger’s methods and team-building (possibly tested against authentic Bugs), but also about this universe’s Terrans and how they react both to alien society and the existence of a trans dimensional cousin

Collateral Ink

I don't know about Terrans, but I'm pretty sure Earth civilization would respond in only one way: "Kill it with fire!"

jmundt33a

They don’t even have it up for pre-order. That is weird.

Matthew Malkin

I don't think Daniel usually publishes his books for pre-order because of some of the stipulations Amazon put on doing that make it awkward for him. So the books usually just appear ready to go.

Jonathan Campbell

Yea among other things the lead time submission of the final edit required for preorders is a bit ridiculous iirc.

Jonathan Campbell

I’m forever refreshing the page on searching for the book and these cover art posts as soon as Daniel takes down the advance chapters!

Matthew Malkin

Ahhh, don't know if I should go to sleep or stay up longer waiting for the book.

Pamela Lunsford

Well there goes my evening. Good thing I don’t have to get up early tomorrow!

Kolchak

As of 1:00 a m. EST it's up in the us as well. Yippee!

Phil Haddock

Got it. Thanks for writing, Daniel. Love the cover, too.

Matthew Malkin

@Daniel around kindle page 256 there seems to be a typo "acrambling" which I think should be "scrambling"

Jo

Have to say loved loved loved the book finished already, was only able to find it on Amazon after clicking the link in the announcement email though.

malcolm white

FANTASTIC11 All I hoped for and more AND I'm only half way through. No need to ask what I'm doing this morning . Cheers, Malc

Sonicblackfox

Is this going to be one of those situations where we find out that the antecedents are actually the progenitors of the humans of earth?

Sonicblackfox

…….. damnit I read it too fast

jmundt33a

Inhaled and enjoyed. So, I assume both of the hotheaded Dwarf pilot brothers survived…barely. How will they react to the recordings of Zander’s battles in the field? Also, how will the Assembly react to Zander? When will we meet Angels who aren’t jerks? There is that one executive officer who wants to implement Zee’s new methods.

Mikkel

Plz don’t do me like that. I really want to see Zander with all the original Crew including Arlizarista.

Drunkenbiker

Looks like something that might make a certain ompany upset; but gor it.

Drunkenbiker

But really, we need more battletech love I n the world. This might help.

Jonathan Campbell

Read it, love it! Edit: Also really looking forward to the audio version to see how different Andi makes the voices of 3 different slimes!

Cordell Patrick

Wonder if Zander will try and get infantry to help deal with the smaller bugs or maybe air support

jmundt33a

How would you arm and armor infantry so they could make a dent without being automatic sacrifices. The head of the security team has experience, but that seems to be mostly him cleaning up situations that have gone insane. Is there training he could provide that would make the security force viable backup in a drop?

Stefan Holze

Hi, sorry if this post is in the wrong place, but I‘ve got a question: Isn‘t there a possiblity to restock ammo during a mission? Maybe a seperate support mecha or combined with repfunction (like a healer)?

Stefan Holze

Ok, thx for your answer. This info hasn‘t caught my attention. So repeat on audible. ;) no pain -> your books are great
