His personality was forged by his childhood, and he was determined to find a way to make his past work for him.

As soon as he could, Zander decided to find work as a military contractor. The company he’d badgered for a job eventually hired him, earning him the nickname “Badger.” While most people dropped out of the lifestyle after a few years, Zander had found a place that felt right to him.

A decade in, he’d even found a couple of friends who stayed on with him. One was Devin Smith, the heavy weapons specialist for the squad and a proud Texan. Another was Selda Engel, their tech specialist. She’d slowly transitioned from a friend to a friend-with-benefits, but even that had started to become more.

On rotation again, Zander made a vow to ask Selda to recognize their relationship as more than just a casual hookup, planning to do so as soon as they were back off schedule. The universe, however, was about to remind him of a crucial lesson and old adage: “Life is what happens when you’re busy making plans.” Sent out into the desert on what looked like a wild-goose chase, they were about to head back when everything changed.

Shifted by quantum entanglement from Earth to an alien planet, Zander and his squad would have to adapt— and quickly— if they wanted to live. As they tried to understand what was happening, the stark truth of their new reality thrust itself on the shaken Humans. Giant machines of war were attacking an equally humongous bug.

And, quite unfortunately, the giant bug had a lot of little friends. The ensuing firefight ended with Zander left as the sole Human survivor. Out of his dimension and wounded, he had to face an entirely new universe, and the Antecedent’s Legacy would soon become the primary focus of his life.

Apoc Mora

Miowarra Tomokatu

Michael Jackson

Brian

Well, at least the costume is easy to slip on!

Phil Haddock

Is there only one antecedent? Otherwise the apostrophe is in the wrong place.

George

Will this book be similar to your other works? (ie - harem with a focus on slice of life)

Jonathan Campbell

I'm guessing this one will stay with the newer writing style you've adopted with mostly just one or two detailed scenes of NC-17+ per wife/lover and anything further just being referred to or FTB? Just hoping that maybe this one would be more in line with Apocalypse Gates honestly, personal preference.

Spiderfox

Replace antecedent with Mankind and you get the idea.

Adam Long

I am surprised you went with pre order. Usually u just toss it up to get it to us faster. Trying something different since it is book one? Or going to do this from now on?

Daniel Schinhofen

This is only a test of the pre-order system. Not sure If I'll ever do another one, but since I was ahead of this book being published by enough to do a preorder, I thought I'd try it out.

Adam Long

Hey why not. Lol I just wanted to read it sooner!! Really like the chapters so far, so can't wait on the rest of it

Micke Andersson

And here's where we break paths. I actually managed to like *two* series you write .. but you felt the need to write 3 or so more instead. Maybe that's 4. Well, that's your right. But it's off-putting for me since I have no interest in other than the 2 series I alluded to. And waiting the rest of the year now, well .. I can and will do that from the sidelines rather as an active supporter. As I see it you're spreading thin, but that's just a layman's view. Good luck with your future writings.

Daniel Schinhofen

The rotation is helps me maintain my joy of writing, so I wouldn't call it spreading thin. But not every series is for everyone, which is totally fine. If you come back that will be nice, if not I understand.

Jim Payne

Loved it, eagerly awaiting the next on top of Aethers Guard and Binding words.

I was not happy with the 19 chapters you had released, as it seemed like a human superiority type story, but after reading it, I believe it was a Shivaten superiority problem making everyone else look stupid. Hopefully, book 2 will show the pilots taking to the new tactics with ease.
