You may have seen my previous post about starting up video Q&A's - well - The first recording session is scheduled for this week! Ask your questions below for a chance to have them appear in the first video! The questions can be about anything you want - My own work, the genre as a whole, the process or nature of writing, my story in entering the space, or even a question for Chris. To reiterate, our plan for gathering Patreon questions, in particular, will be to look at which comments on this post that have the most likes - so make sure to read the comments and like any that might already be asking the question(s) you have, as these will be prioritized slightly. If there's not enough of those, or if one of the other questions is really really interesting, we'll grab that one up and stick it in the mix as well.As a reminder, as patrons you'll get the benefit of being the first batch of questions asked in this video and all future videos before questions from other sources are added to the list, and we'll shout out Patrons in the video itself, as well as list ALL patrons in a text scroll at the end of the video! Get those thinking caps on and ask away!

The Rat King

Do you have any hints you can give about your possible next series?

Awesomesauce Inc

What has been the biggest change with regards to extended family since becoming a full time author? Like, how did they react to it? Are holidays different or do they really know much about your writing? You spoke on this a little once and I personally found it very interesting and I think others would too. The stuff about such a huge career change most don't consider.

SpeedDemon266

Something that is hard to find that i really enjoy.... Will you ever write a purely slice of life book. I mean a book with no huge goal of saving the world, no drama of people trying to abduct the main characters woman or anything like that. Just a casual and fun book where the mc is better than average but just living their life and having a good time.

yourstruly

How much pre-planning do you go through before writing a book or a series? Is everything already fleshed out and you know how the book or the series will end before writing, or do you take it chapter by chapter?

JamzHigate

Ive read most of your work if not all and have caught most of the Easter eggs(I think). Are you planning to connect them all together? DJ and SSV? Or have i just missed those references in the books? Do you plan for deeper connections like character appearances?

Donny Davis

I kind of want to pull a Chris Farley and "remember that one time you..." , but will not. Instead, I'll ask what is one piece of advice you would give aspiring authors that you wished you knew before starting?

Stu Lawe - Author

I'd definitely be interested in how you got started. I'm an author myself but feel I can always learn from others.

Nick Drake

When you start a series do you know the ending or do you let the story flow and get guided by the characters until you see coming?

Aaron Herwig

Ever put thought into doing something like a compilation of short stories that connect to some of the series to perhaps expand on some things or just for some fun slice of life moments?

Julian Lachner

Can you already see when your children read your books? How do you think you will react when your Son (i belive) comes uo to you, with dragons Justice in hand, glares at you "Dad i hope you dont do this with Mom" would be fun😂😂😂

Ross McCorkindale

what comes first, the look or voice of a character?

Codyman27

Will ken try to switch his trial ability or will he be able to have all the trial abilities by completing them

Alice cabe

Will there be a lamia race to help Ken with the Naga

Spencer Winder

Which series has been the most "successful" and which do you enjoy writing the most?

Mr Koko

Will we ever learn the mystery behind Crimson’s ‘Aberrant’ class?

ArbabSB

Does the Dungeon in Dungeon Diving have a bottom? Or does it keep going down indefinitely, with an infinite number of floors?

ArbabSB

Would you ever consider doing a compilation of short stories set after the ends of some of your completed series such as Dragon's Justice, showing slice of moments of the characters' future lives?

Rotaugur

Better would be if his son comes with two girls and proude tells him, look dad, like in your books...

Rotaugur

Dou you plan on ever creating a Series with a Evil mc, who has a strong character , instead of all the chaotic good - chaotic neutral types , that could have jumped out of a cheap isekai story??? I understand that it can be hard to write someone who is at the same time wth a strong personality and still not overly so, but please at least not another wimp. I have not had fun reading your stories since they explored the dungeon city, because he makes me sick, in DD, and AO is not interesting to me eather since book one, and hope to return reading your stories again.

Jacob

I've noticed a decrease in the spicey scenes in recent books and was curious if that was a conscious decision to reduce that and increase story content or if the story is just driving out the available space that those scenes would normally occupy?

Joshua McKinley

I've noticed in most harem books that the MC is pretty dense with women. Is that just the easiest way to write the male mc or is there a benefit for them being a little oblivious.

Ocean

In DD and RD it seems that a characters class gave them new skills at certain milestones. But then in later books there seemed to be a lack of new skills acquired at higher levels. Do new class skills stop after reaching certain levels, or do the target levels become further apart?

Derick Mapes

If posable could we get custom statue book ends for the patron collectors edition please and thank u

I have a few questions regarding Ken Nagato. 1- If he's such a training maniac, why is his strength so pitiful? 2- Why hasn't he invested in an ability that improves his baseline speed or something like his grandpa has, that would stack with liminal speed? 3- Why hasn't his Demon race given him any new abilities? His [delirious pleasures] skill came way back before their first class raids. 4- What is the point of the dungeon "choosing" him and Crimson if trials can be found? Is theirs special in some way? Do they have a chance to upgrade or evolve? 5- The biggest bonus of Ken's class is his ability to share skills, but the only one he takes full advantage of is Eyes of wisdom. Where are the high level skills he should be borrowing from the rest of his girls? He has two tanks, 2 casters and a shifter to pull from. 6- does he have any special gear? The last time he had an upgrade we know of was also before the class raids. 7-All of this is to point out opportunities the story isn't taking advantage of. Why is Ken getting nerfed so hard? He seems to only be above average due to his one special skill (that will only be special for so much longer) when he should be standing out with all of the "supposed advantages" he's managed to accrue. Part of the fun of your books, is the main character being OP and contending with characters that should be out of their reach. DD started out feeling like that, especially when he picked up [Liminal speed]. But from then-on, aside from the DPS test, it seems like you're doing everything you can to rein him in and that OP element has gone straight out the window. Let's bring that back, yeah?

Derek Tomlinson

My question is about Ken Nagato's harem, he already has a decent sized group and I realize that it will probably grow to include Misha and Helen possibly. The actual question is how large do you plan to make his harem. I realize that you might not have an exact number since as you write the story plans change, but im sure you started with a rough idea and your thoughts about this, i think would make a good question or talking point in your pod cast.

Eric

What is your favorite class to play in a RPG

MuteButtonHero

That might also be quite a spoiler. The difference between 10 and 74 would reveal a lot about what kind of twists we can expect

MuteButtonHero

I'm wondering if the goal is to move Sentar stories into more of a mainstream space and out of adult content.

Jacob

Entirely possible. That's why I'm curious if it is just story driven or a conscious choice to change things in that direction. I will be continuing to read either way.

MuteButtonHero

They have talked about how their various storylines connect both in time and in different worlds. I think I saw that on their Discord.

Craig M Bowers

How do you approach the power scale in your stories? The early struggles flow nicely but it feels the power ceiling fluctuates unpredictably and you’re forced to create new obstacles on the fly. Is it planned to have ever increasing challenges or does your character grow so fast you need to find new limitations?

Derek Tomlinson

Your right it might be a spoiler to say there will be exactly 15 wives and Im not asking for that info. I want to have the topic discussed with some teasers or possibilities, and some authors get feedback and ideas that help them with writer's block or even heading in new directions.

Bry Mcrock

Imagine the trouble he has with the local HOA.. 😉

Kayler

Is the chimera that teaches Zach the enchantment for Frank's lifespan actually Isaac

Michael Chaney

Are you ever going to add a book 4 to Legendary Rule series? I recently listened to it and the end of the 3rd book just felt like such a cliffhanger.

Sputter

Long time reader, first time commenting or interacting. I love your books so don't take this as any kind of criticism. My question is if you'd consider a more slice of life style series or a more status quo kind of story over your standard "monster of the month" type deal you seem to focus on. Most of your villains tend to be short term problems that are solved in one novel instead of a recurring long term story point. I find your series tend to peak and dip in terms of engagement with how compelling your current villain or problem is. I think I read at one point that you're more of a plan as you go type writer? Just curious if you've played with the idea of writing more of a sustained long term type big bad instead of most villains being dead by the end of the book they're introduced in or is it a conflict with your writing style?

Neorandomizer

Do you have series bibles or do you just use random notes on each book.

daigoto

First time commenter, short time enjoyer, About a year now. I found your books awhile ago starting with dungeon diving and ive worked my way through DD, RD, DJ, and currently doing Ards Oath. Absolutely love listening to all of them. My question for you would be. Have you ever considered writing a story much like DD, RD, DJ or AO..... But from a Female MC's point of view? Still having female love interest of course.

Alith Anar

Bruce how are you gonna give DD more stakes since the resurrect mechanic seems to take a lot of the threat out of most encounters? Ken seems to take for granted that his class is gonna come back and lacks the fear he had when the fire happened back in book 2, they all seem numb to death now.

Daniel Sterling

As a collector of statues/figures, do you ever plan to sell finished figures of your characters or allow a 3D print of your characters to be sold? Baldur's Gate 3 statues go wild on Etsy! Especially the "sinful" ones, hehe.

ALightOTW

Hey Bruce, hope you doing well and not getting burned out. So I have two questions. I’m gonna throw these out and you can take it if you want if not, you can just send it on back. 1. Several of your stories involve dungeons, and the world of progression through either leveling or other means has there been a thought of creating a universe where characters from different stories can interact with one another i.e. Marvel Multiverse. I just read RD and SSV back to back and notice how they could easily be pared together. Like maybe Miles is a player from Bran’s future. Would be pretty cool. 2. Which other HaremLit authors do you take inspiration from if any? Your work reminds me of William D Arand or Aaron Crash with how good your story telling is. Thats it. Thanks for the time.

RestIsBest

I see there is a man of culture in here.

John

Is last months no book month taking the place of the next one or is it just an extra to avoid burning out?

Stormking

My wallets worst nightmare is the existence of an Aurora statue.

Will the web series Monstrous Horizons continue?
