Hey Team,

That’s the end of Mana 5. Hope you liked it and are ready for the final book here in a few months.

I’m churning out Dragon 3, and it’s off to a nice start. I stumbled a little and redid some of the early chapters. This one needs to be just right. But now I am on chapter 9 for the story, feeling good where it’s headed. My alpha reader is on… checks notes… chapter 2. So going to have to give them a big prod to catch up.

Things are going well, though I’m not really finding the time to get back to Monstrous Horizons.

With moving to a book a month, my word count per book has dropped from the 125k-135k range to around 110-115k words a book. Trying to get some more words in Dragon 3 and then I would like to make the first book of Saving Supervillains a fucking tome. Planning this one for a trilogy.

I’m excited for SS. The goal is a very morally gray MC out for himself, mix in a villainess determined to crack his icy exterior, add a pinch of backstory and a pound of superhero origin story to make something that I think will be great.

Oh, that’s right, SS will be up next after Dragon 3. It will take Dao’s place for a single cycle and then after the conclusion of Mana with book 6 it will fill in for mana in my cycles.

We’ll finish dao up with books 4 and 5 and then introduce the next new series this summer. I’m calling it Warlock for now. Though that’s still a ways out and I’m tossing around a few names to see what sounds good. It’s an apocalypse system type story with the MC being primarily a demon summoner.

Not sure what’s going to happen with Dragon as far as series length, people love it, yet the harem audience in general doesn’t do a great job of sticking with series. I like the characters though and it certainly has more story to tell.

Audio is going slowly. But I’m trying to work with the narrators to keep it going. Threet just finished up Dragon 2 and it is being proofed.

I still very much want to dabble a little outside HaremLit, but I’m not sure of timing and honestly my books are selling too well for me to want to slow down on Haremlit.

There’s a poll up for next month’s art. I also booked two slots with Nopeys towards the end of Feb, I think I’ll have him do Feb but they might be a little delayed because of it.

The previous artist unfortunately is having issues and there’s been some discovery by other authors that he’s using .psd files from fairly famous patreon artists in his work. I’ll probably move away from him after he finishes this last one for me.

All in all, things are well. I’m well and I’m happy to be doing something I love.

Really enjoy mana 5. Mana is probably the best harem cultivation story sad to see it end. You should cap it with some kind of collectors edition!!

Thanks for the update. Mana 5 was great and I'm sure it will be a hit. Looking forward to Dragon 3. I'm not a superhero fan so I'm going to have to come into SS with an open mind, but you do great work so I'm sure it will be great too. Keep up the good work.

I enjoy the mana series and loved a few of Mana 5 chapter I read, but wanted to save the test for ebook release. When can we expect it published on the 'zon?

Will be sad to see Mana end but damn it has been a hell of a great ride. Dragon has the type of story that could go for quite a few books, especially with how popular it seems to be in all the harem groups on FB and how well done the books have been so far

Dragon is by far my favorite series by you so I hope it has a while to stay. Otherwise though mana finished on just the right kind of cliff hanger imo. You do great work hope you have more success

Feb 9th. My current goals for 2022 is a book out every month on the 9th.

I have a plan for book 1-3 and 4-6 editions. The thing that has been holding me back is art. Hopefully with adding a second artist to the mix I can get that fixed and the two compilations out this year.

I'm cautiously optimistic about dragon's longevity. There's no end in sight for it yet.

Mana 5 was top tier entertainment, thanks for that! I think series that have an overall arc/a defined story to tell don’t fall off as much. At least for me they don’t. Other authors and series.. I can tell they write from a template or a general setting idea and the story is just formulaic and gets repetitive quickly, somewhat like a weekly tv series instead of a movie. Anyways, looking forward to what’s next. Great work as always.

I love how you talk about writing a morally grey character for SS like you don't write cultivation novels with mcs who have no problem murdering others and enjoys getting their sweet, sweet revenge. Honestly Dragon is my favorite series of yours and knowing that it was going to be on your Patreon soon is why I subscribed so I hope it either continues or gets a satisfying conclusion. I enjoy both superhero and system apocalypse type stories so I'm looking forward to your two new series, more so than Dao if I'm being completely honest. Thanks for the update by the way and good luck on your writing!

Ha, I guess cultivation has a certain type of acceptance towards violence in all of their characters. In SS with a more modern day setting it feels a little more grey and Miles is a very difference character.

Will mana 4 be coming out on audio soon, like at the end of February or March?

SS sounds exciting. Love all your series. Will there be another Mana Trilogy in the future? I hope you can avoid burnout at the pace you are creating books. Your series are some of the best in this genre hands down due to the quality of the work.

Sinful Cyanide

Sure, it's not like you've got a modern day paranormal story about a dragon who is fine with killing people, I'm sure this moral grey area will be totally new ground. (Was that too sarcastic? Sorry if it was.) Face it, morally grey is where you like to stick your mc. Hell, your planning a system apocalypse story and those characters are almost always morally grey due to circumstances.

I've always found that my interest wanes when the harem gets so large that characters get left out or I have to go back to previous books to figure out who people are. When the characters have so little content (because there are so many) it becomes hard to get invested in the story. Any more than 4-6ish becomes really hard for me to follow.
