In working on SSV4, I feel like stepping away from Point City has temporarily cut off a lot of open threads. I know the core of what I want the book's plot to be, but you guys have been guessing at what's going to happen next in Dragon and Dungeon and left me more than a few times going 'damn, I wish I thought of that'.

So, I'm shamelessly asking you all what are you looking forward into SSV4 so I can steal your ideas to weave in around the main plot I have in mind.

No promises I can include everything.

Kim being borderline yandere and bugging the girls for constant updates about him

Tenshine1 Productions

I'm eager to see how the relationship between Miles and Kim progress. Will Kim bow down to his powers or will she do anything possible to keep him all to herself.

El Jefe

I second that a Yandere Kim would be a fun wrinkle: sort of an immortal Kat on steroids ha ha.

Bob Bryan

Pratt and what's her name, the mayor lady, getting what's commming to them. Kim and daeva moving forwards with miles, maybe viper as well. More expansion on the rest of the titans and the world. Also miles testing and growing his powers, seeing new capabilities.

Thatguycant

I feel like the book will be mostly miles out in the wilderness or haven learning more about the world and all we really see of point city will be from other character's POV.

El Jefe

I would say what I look forward to most is sort of solidifying the overarching threat and starting to frame an end game for Miles. I like the micro focus on redemption of individual villains but I'd also like to see him forced to confront having to step up to deal with larger macro issues in the setting. Sort of an exploration of the "would Batman do more good if he spent more time openly addressing issues instead of punching things" dilemma. He's positioned in a place where he can go a lot of directions, depending on who he throws in with ideologically, and seeing him explore deliberately choosing what he wants to be proactive about instead of purely reactive about would be a fun development.

JJ

I will love to see Miles's girls working together to do power moves (not super powers) on any new girls to establish dominance and keeping him safe. Like a pride of lioness hunting and caring for their leader.

Kyle

Im interested in what this super villains city might be like. The series is names "saving super villains" and while not all can be saved many criminals (super villains) have extenuating circumstances that made them go down that path. I would also be very interested in seeing more of the bigger world, titens, cities, ect maybe even more info on the kid miles saw in book 2 or 3 that needed to stop angel as well as the woman that maneuvered miles so well, rumors or other tid bits. Also kim and deava, and I would like a "keep him at all costs" kim or even a yandere Kim would be interesting.

Dude that would be awesome

Daniel Glasson

Stella doing a surprise Fastball Special with someone. No warning, just her picking up someone and yeeting them at an enemy

Ryan Romano

Kim moving behind the scenes and contacting all the other branches to get them ready for whenever Miles decides to share the new threat that he's become aware of, because it seems like its eventually going to happen that Miles is forced to assume a leadership role over the other supers to survive, even if that means staging some sort of coup over the military and "elected" officials

Mason Rhade

Came in here to say this almost exactly so I'll leave a heart and a reply with my quick 2 cents. More info about the world at large would be awesome. i really enjoyed the field trip that resulted in him helping to fight the titan. it would be great if we got to see other cities and how they were managed. The little plot threads like with the kid, would be awesome if we got some more info or a closure. perhaps the kid took over mcfucknuts body and is now a better hero. I think that was the implication. would be great to see. Adding more as i think about it We know Voids parents are dead because he's visited their graves. What about other family members? perhaps a younger sibling kept the family going and as part of his therapy he reaches out to them as a distant relative and reestablishes contact further humanizing himself. i think his team figuring out he is void and joining team void (not as a harem) would be fun too. Everybody gets matching Void tee shirts Introducing different heros and villians for Void to learn how to use/abuse his powers in no fun ways outside of murder marbles.

Robert Nichols

I would love to see a villain that Miles would have problem controlling. Perhaps someone with a similar, though reduced, powerset as his own. Perhaps this villain is doing many of the same things that Miles is doing. Seeing what happens back in Point City without Miles being around would also be interesting. Seeing Kim deal with Miles' "girls" would definitely be interesting especially if Kim sees how devoted they are all to Miles.

Tanner Lovelace

I’m interested to know if anything from Becks was used in the creation of Daeva and if so if anything of Becks survived and might be able to come back. It might be a nice ending if Miles could somehow get at least some part of Becks back.

Mason Rhade

Or just having her Puny God smash an enemy >:)

Specoh

I’m all for the second part of that. But I think the first part would tick off a lot of people

Specoh

I would love to see Miles come to terms with his powers. He has spent the first 3 books hiding in the shadows. It would be awesome if he was fully in the open once he returns to Point City

Yaldabaoth

... massive orgy with Miles in the center with his all his girls, and Kim joining in? 🥺

Fervent Fiend

Miles not being a pushover, and coming back from this excursion with a mind to turn the mayor and general into paste for their temerity

Michael Shuble

Im looking forward to hopefully seeing miles embrace his powers and his new ones and while still following the rehabilitation path of his women but also really allowing for him to be fully seen, deava is going go full crazy on him and probably be full yandera and my guess is Kim as well but I’d like to see him openly put the smack down and dominate them after one or both of them take it to far and disrespect or go after Stella, she’s been the driving force of the harem but it would be cool to see miles fully embrace it and prove no matter what he’s the OP Titan super and no one messes with his women

Daniel Glasson

I just love the idea of Stella in a group fight, having an enemy charging at her and her grabbing the nearest guy, going "You deal with this" and just hurling the poor bastard at the incoming enemy

Jeremy Patrick

Kinda hoping that he ends up loving living in this new city. And decides he wants to invest in it becoming its own recognized and respected region. Somewhere he wants to make an actual home.

Mateo

One thing I want to see is him using his powers to mimic others, in the first book he grabs and studies someone who can faze through materials and says he could replicate it, but it is never used or mentioned again, I'd like to see him doing stuff like that, cause it's a cool idea

Mateo

Maybe there are more monsters evolving into titans at a rapid pace, and he has to force control over the villains and heros, with Kim's help, to hold them off long enough for him to get to them, maybe making too much of the black energy balls actually starts to drain him from such rapid use, something he's never had to do before or the black balls start breaking stuff too much, so his power becomes a danger as well.

Konrad

I think it would be cool to have a thread where Miles and all his lady’s (or possibly just Miles and Deava) go on their own accord and hunt down and kill at least one of the Titans maybe even the Fenris wolf (though it seems like there’s something more major going on with that).

Mateo

I really want to know what's going on across the world, maybe that's where there are a bunch more titans. Maybe Deava tells him that she traveled there. And that's why she's gathering supers under her. I personally think it would kinda be a gut punch for her to be made from becks, but if she was becks, just kinda mind broken and looking different after growing up or having her face changed during the expiranents to hide the fact she's becks, wouldn't be as bad. Maybe she's not quite as broken as we think and she equates her heart beating faster to love because she remembers him somewhere in her head and still loves him.

Dennis Erwin

Miles is such a relatable MC (IMHO) because he's not much different from anyone else - he's not super-driven like so many MCs tend to be. He's willing to help out and step up, but ultimately likes hanging out with his family, occasionally going out, and generally living life. Reconciling the disruption and fame that being outed as Void brings is, to me, the big challenge for him, and the one he's worked hard so far to avoid. I'd love to see this be more of the focus, rather than power-creeping bad guys for a traditional knock-down action finale. The first book was superior due to this - there was no Marvel set-piece bad guy fight, because Miles would crush anyone else, including Titans. The contention was between homebody Miles and the fame/terror of Void.

Konrad

I am kind of curious about what's going on in Europe so I have to admit I like the idea of Stella wanting to try a crepe (have someone explain to her about European pancakes) and Miles just hoping over to France or Germany to grab some crepes for Stella to try, would be a good slice of life chapter or two.

Loukemia

Void being put in charge of the city/pantheon is an interesting path. It would give him the chance to try to save a super villian(ous city). As part of that, the General and Mayor causing the destruction of Point City and creating a refugee crisis would be good. Perhaps move the Bureau of Superheroes and repurpose it.

Old Fashioned Oatis

Military and city leadership being the REAL villians, what made Fortress go pyscho was an experiment maybe not gone right but still useful data, and Miles's high school sweetheart not dead, her remains would have been put on ice as a trainee/member of the military and subject to experimentation and as a result her memorys survived/in a new body. also some cutesy kim and her doing her best to attract Miles and not become an immortal cat lady.

Wade thomas

I could see deava actually being the sweetheart.

1) More world building, to learn what life outside the former US is like and/or more about how the world became that way. 2) Further development of the newer ladies in Miles harem (somehow). Beatrix and Kim specifically (I loved their plot lines in the previous volume), though more Obsidian would also be much appreciated. I don’t see Daeva as in the right mind yet to be able to join if that’s where the story is planned to go, she makes Kim’s Yandere tendencies seem well adjusted and rational (but she’s at least still a sympathetic character and not entirely irredeemable). The series is called “Saving Supervillains” after all, so she could work if given the proper depth and growth. 3) The government getting their comeuppance (or at least having their corruption exposed). Miles deserves justice (and maybe a little revenge too), and they need to be taken to account. I suspect they have their hands in other sketchy (or even nefarious) things considering how far they go in the name of safety or stability. When “the end justifies the means”, the line between good and evil can quickly become blurred. 4) Further creative applications of Miles’ extremely versatile abilities. It’d be easy to have him rely on his usual combo of turning invisible and smushing his enemies into paste, but that does get tiresome to read if he never gets a proper challenge. Finding ways to keep him on his toes (or even more ways he uses his powers for frivolous stuff in his downtime), can do much to make his power set feel fresh and interesting, while giving him logical weaknesses that even he may not have thought to prepare himself for. After all, while he’s an intelligent guy, he’s not omnipotent. 5) And a few more alternate POV chapters featuring the ladies. It allows the reader to see Miles actions from a different point of view, let’s us see what they think of him (or the plot), and can even let us see events in a separate location that Miles might not even be there for. Final note: If Miles ever needs to unmask himself to the world, please let it be both badass and cathartic!

Tadooooshi

I want to see more expansion on Obsidian as a character and building current Obsidian up a bit more before we see who she was before everything that happened. Additionally, one of the biggest things I want to see in this series is what did empowering that kid do to Angel back in SSV2 to stop him being a douche. Lastly, I want to many more cute scenes with Stella like her coming with band aids to heal him it fit her character to a tea and I loved it.

Ryan Martindale-George

Everything everyone else has already said. Also want to see how Miles uses the M=MC^2 suggestion to create something awesome. Maybe in a fight, maybe some world saving method like creating a machine to increase the potency of the male "swimmers", IDK.

Sdff

The Monster Fruit being another entity symbiotically living inside you brings up the possibility of a "hive mind" parisitic/sybiotic super. It would be cool to have a telipathic network of supers who live inside a Giant super, like Pinocchio/Jonah and the whale, and defend/feed the super like bees to a hive.

Jamie R

I agree with this wholeheartedly! Especially the part about the military and the fact that Daeva, the biggest threat since Miles/Void/The Monster is actually the result of government experimentation. Also want that prick general to get his comeuppance at Kim's hands for how the military treated supers as disposable weapons

Swagmaster

Want to see Kim's reaction realizing Mona is in miles head with their mutual obsession

Ray

I realy want to see void put the mayor and general in there place through a show of absolute force that put the fear of God in them! Thats all I want really

JJ

Miles to tame a baby titan

Brian

Since you've introduced alternate POV chapters, I'd like to see over the course of the book the mayor / general(?) slowly come to the realization that Void isn't dead, and as paranoia / panic in them begins to ratchet up, an opportunity to meet with Cerberus comes up. So they go to the meeting and either Void is sitting there waiting instead, or he comes in after them, apologizes for being late, that sort of thing. I think the dawning realization that all they did was wake a sleeping dragon they had repeatedly been told to let lie would be interesting. And then maybe have him suck them into black holes slowly over the city to drive home the fact that all their lives rely on his grace. Maybe not so much that last part, but he's put up with a lot of shit recently, and it'd be nice to see a real push back from a "god".

DJ Johnson

This is great fully agree with all of this.

I apologize for the delay in response, but I was under the impression that there was interest in not just what we wanted to see in further books; but also our ideas about how it could possibly happen. So I wanted to take at least a few days to really mull it over and come up with a logic path to accompany the story beats I would like to see. - So we know that the military has secured the body of particular supers for study, including Fortress. Which means there is a high probability that they took other bodies from the incident as well. Miles has been experimenting with mapping out particular powers to successfully confer certain abilities via the “monster fruit”. Kim has “immortal” regeneration, though we have yet to see it in action. If Kim were to deliver to Miles the body of his high school sweetheart, or knowledge of it’s location. Theoretically Miles could map Kim’s regeneration to her “mostly dead” body, allowing her to be resurrected. If she is theoretically too damaged following the original incident, either Miles’ memory of the event could be incorrect due to trauma. Or the military may have made their own efforts to revive her, leaving her in a state that the “monster fruit” could be successfully utilized. This could potentially also allow Kim to heal psychologically from both allowing Miles to “punish” (hurt) her, to map out how her power works. And provide him with some degree of restoration of what he lost in her failure to stop Fortress on her own. - Miles could potentially utilize his ability to alter powers to strip powers off the X chromosome of men. This would theoretically remove the increased probability of offspring getting the powered X chromosome from their fathers; and thus being females. Doing so in this fashion would create a solution to the birth ration problem without adding a power to the Y chromosome (and balancing out the weighted distribution in the other way). This also allows Miles to showcase the military as being hypocrites who are pursuing power for their own sake, not to save the species if/when they reject this solution. Should Miles then later figure out how to empower the Y chromosome, he could offer this option only to those who have volunteered to have all their powers taken to increase the chance of having sons. If Miles pursues this line of research it would also provide a reason to bring the rest of his office team onboard with his secretive operations without requiring them to join his family in the more direct fashion; as he would need a male volunteer with his own potential harem to serve as an experimental group. Incorporating this plot line might require at least a few month time skip at some point to show the results of the experimentation. Though I would still like to see those who are really interested in Miles join his harem. - As we see more of the world it certainly seems that the logical direction of the power escalation is the formation of independent city states ruled by a “royal” family in each city. It would interesting to see any potentially related plot-lines, like potential political marriages. Even if not to Miles directly, it is likely that there would be interest in any of his future children in arraigned marriages to secure allies. Particularly if it is noted that he has resolved the gender ration issue and is thus more likely to have sons to enter into such arrangements.
