Sammxney

Most gorgeously animated and incredibly acted film with incredible music it doesn't even matter that it is religious it is just so artistically sound I loved when they pulled this out at Sunday school

I'm Batman

Woke up from a nap and now Ash has blessed me with the reaction I've been most excited for. Thank you for putting this on a poll to be voted on, given how you're not a fan of musicals. You truly are one who serves his community! Can't wait to see this reaction. Let's get into this! OOSH

PLEASE PLEASE Ash we need a reaction on the Godfather. PLEASE surprise us we need it

The most important thing to realize through this story is what the power of God looks like, and how destructive it can be to those who don’t believe in Him. It’s not that you’re being punished for not believing Him, because you have free will, however, there are “consequences” to not believing in God. So, for example, the Passover scene, when God told Moses to tell everyone (& I can imagine, he told EVERYONE) about the lamb’s blood, even a non believer could have marked their posts and been saved, but instead of heeding the warning what would happen if they didn’t, they put their children at risk, and ultimately they were taken away. It’s hard to believe that God would have not brought those children to a better place (Heaven) because they were innocent. At least that’s how I see it as a Christian. It’s very sad, still.

Sammxney

Hannah learning the unfortunate cruelty of the Wrath of God. It's wild seeing it from someone who wasn't raised religious. The warning was there let the slaves go, cover your doors, the Hebrews weren't given a warning nor did they commit a crime when they were slaughtered. But it is crazy and it's meant to be unfair it's wild because this movie is shown to children as young as 4/5 years old. Great reaction as always.

Alexander Romero

Those children definitely went to heaven we are so attached to this earth that we forget that theirs a better place these children can be a place with no pain no Sorrow no disease yeah I’d rather be there God is a loving GOD but also is consuming fire meaning he is not to be missed with or those who believe in him and someone might say arnt we all his children yes but if a child doesn’t have a relationship with it’s father how can that father protect and guide you when you don’t speak to him but my point is God protects those he loves and is just about it

I paid for your patreon just to watch your full reaction to this. I have been watching you guys for probably a short amount of time, in all actuality. I found you when you reacted to the passion of the Christ. I stayed because your interactions with each other are very entertaining, but also very genuine. I really enjoy watching you guys. I’m not someone who has ever sought out religious content. I’ve only recently been exposed to the Catholic Church and certain ideologies. I’m still not sure where I stand with what I believe, but I’ve always believed in signs. And I believe you are part of that sign. I came across your content when I did for a reason. Never stop questioning things. I wish you both the best and eternal happiness and contentedness.

This movie is incredible. I’ve seen it more times than I can count and that opening number makes me tear up and gives me goosebumps every time.

It's expected to react like this when you have no context of the entire bible. The children weren't promised a godless eternity. They probably went to heaven. Also how would you go about changing the pharo without intervening with his free will... You can't and this was the only way.

Ariana Heredia

Hannah's thoughts on two wrongs don't make a right is one of the reasons I stopped believing in the religion lol. Like imagine someone who has never been taught about God, they just go to hell? Or in this movie are killed too young? Anyways I heard Whitney Housten helped produce the album/songs of this movie haha amazing stuff!

Lorna Walker

It’s not so much about “good” and “bad”. You either have faith in the “one true God” or you don’t. In the Christian faith, there are many punishments for those who do not believe in Him. Even though some of the Egyptians may have been the best people, they still didn’t worship God. It’s the first of the Ten Commandments, “Thou shall have no other gods before me”. Fun fact, Moses wasn’t allowed into the promised land because he broke the commandments, literally. I recommend researching the whole story of Exodus. Also, as someone who grew up in the Christian faith, it’s interesting to see people react to biblical stories that don’t know much about the Bible. Love y’all’s reactions!

Dan Marsh

the passion of Christ and now prince of Egypt. What's next the chosen? ty for this guys.

Hannah, here's human nature: Hebrews were enslaved for 400 years. And they were engulfed in bitter bondage, brutalized. 400 years. God waited and waited and the slavery didn't end. So then He acted. And even after sending Moses with a verbal message, he warned Pharaoh again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again. Until Pharaoh's hearted was SO HARDENED, that he issued the last plague. And God had had enough and took the 1st born, not just children. 1st born of every home. Pharaoh let's them go AND THEN CHANGED HIS MIND AGAIN. So you have to ponder why one would struggle with God's action. Fact is, He did everything else He could to reach the evil men. To make them stop their brutalizing. Frankly, God was merciful. And patient. Like He is always is. People ask: why does God let bad things happen. Well, He's patient. Funny thing is, whenever He DOES decide to act, people question and say "wait, God. Two wrongs don't make a right. " God can't win, really. Great reaction, you two. As always.

Symbolism!!!! The story of Moses is filled with Symbolism. A perfect movie for you guys to watch.

Lindsey Pilsner

Joined patreon literally for this reaction. You and Hannah are my favorite couple on the Internet. I told my sons marry a girl like Hannah and my daughters to find a guy like ash lol

MadMel_1070

I absolutely joined Patreon today to watch these videos early, love your channel and adore Hannah 🙏

HelloSaibot

You guys need to watch the iron giant 🫶

The soundtrack for this movie lives rent-free in my mind 24/7. BTW, I have the pic of my Dad using the Just Trust Ash mug but don't know how to send it to you... Also, growing up in the Bible Belt in the US Southeast, these stories were told to us in Sunday School from the time I was about 5. Pharoah started killing every Hebrew boy to be killed because their population was growing too large and he was afraid of an uprising. Yet another edit: It blows my mind that you didn't know the story of the burning bush when God first spoke to Moses. No judgement, just that the Old Testament was beaten into me as a young child. Last edit: I loved your reaction to this movie. Although I'm now Agnostic, I appreciate the morality of this story and the beauty of the movie and the music. Thanks y'all! Oops, one more edit: Just check out the cast as well as the vocal talent ;)

Yin

Yo if you want a sword&sandal “Epic” version of this story watch “Exodus: Gods and Kings”

Chris Herber

The reason why infanticide happened was to keep the population down and to keep their mental state down from trauma. In the story of Moses, there was a prophecy that a deliverer would rise from the Hebrews so when Pharaoh heard this, he ordered the killing of all the babies.

Watch pirates of the Caribbean parts 3 please

TVTG

They felt the sins they committed for one night! What the slaves went through for generations, they went through only once. In the last conversation between Moses and the Pharaoh, he said he would carry out the greatest massacre in the history of Egypt, so God launched the last and worst plague, but not even that was enough to stop the Pharaoh. He felt in his own skin everything his father did and everything he intended to do, and still wanted to continue. I know it is not easy, but that is what happened. God took those who did not put the mark, but there will be pain or suffering, unlike the Pharaoh who threw the babies to the crocodiles

Debbie Hoffman

The reason all baby boys age 2yrs and younger were ordered to be murdered by King Herod, was to make sure baby Jesus, the Messiah would be killed. He knew He was under the age of 2. (Matt 2:16-18).

Stoneburner

pls watch Exodus: Gods and Kings, its the live action movie of this story but batman plays Moses

Sasha

I'm not religious or a believer, but I love this movie. The songs are bangers. Thanks for the reaction!

Corey Hurren

If you enjoyed this you should check out Joseph: king of dreams. It’s a similar biblical animated story to this but heartwarming in a different way.

Marques _asecas

The ten Commandments starring Charlton Heston is one of my all time favourite films. Pretty long though. you should watch it even if you guys don't upload a reaction. Is beautiful and masculine AF

Mark Delk

in the actually story there were Egyptians that put blood on their doors and didn't lose their kids so its not like Moses kept what was coming from them. Those that believed followed what he said and was spared and those who believed in the fake Egyptian gods didn't.

Mark Delk

besides all those kids go to heaven
