*SPOILER AHEAD DON'T READ FURTHER IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED* Guys they decided to go with the gun at the end because they had no more fuel! They couldn't go further and the mist killed anyone who got close so far so... Don't judge him too harshly ^^

Stephen King movies are either very good or very bad. While this ending is different from the book, it is one of the best film adaptations Ive seen and Ive seen a few.
