Little factoid, they used "Thunder" & "Flash" as a countersign because those words are hard to pronounce in a German accent even if they worked out what the response was.

The weapon you were talking about in the beginning is called the 2cm flakvierling 38. It was used as an anti aircraft weapon but was also used as an anti infantry weapon as well. Like you said... Spaghetti...
