In the off chance that no one mentioned it, the reason why the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor keeps changing is magical in nature. After Tom Riddle (Voldemort) was denied the position by Dumbledore, Riddle cursed the position to always be subject to change.

This was my favorite HP book. One of the first books that I finished that really stuck with me. Tbh I only ever enjoyed about 80% of the directing choices in this movie, but - what I did enjoy seems to carry forward. I would recommend a but more Patreon levels of commentary vs YouTube levels of commentary in terms of quantity during key points, but thats just me. Cheers

Honestly, I think Ash should be snape it would just look so out of place the other way round, dobby is small and cheery and ash fits snape much more than Hannah lol

There's a reason this movie felt so different. They changed directors after the first 2 movies and kind of did an overhaul on how they wanted to adapt it. People liked the first 2 movies but everyone felt it was a little off. Every movie from now on has a darker more adult feel to it compared to the first 2 films

Unfortunately the old dumbledore passed away mate, his name was Richard Harris. The new actor you see here is named Michael Gambon. I was a bit confused when I watched prisoner of Azkaban for the first time and seeing him as Dumbledore, but believe me when I say, he did Richard Harris proud. Also to you both, ash and Hannah, I believe I can clear a few things up for you as it is only explained properly in the books and is not mentioned in the later movies. 1. Regarding you guys talking about why they thought Sirius was the killer. When The potters we’re told that Voldemort was trying to kill them, they were advised by Dumbledore to have a spell cast on them that would keep them safe, even if Voldemort was right next to them, he would not be able to spot or see them, or know where they were, within the confines of their home. In order for that spell to work, there needed to be a secret keeper. Now, all of the potters friends were told that Sirius had volunteered to be the secret keeper, and the only way that Voldemort would be able to find them would be if Sirius personally told Voldemort where they were. At the very last second, Sirius suggested that Peter pettigrew be the secret keeper as he believed that Voldemort would never expect somebody as cowardly as Peter to be given responsibility such as that, therefore creating the perfect plan to keep the potters safe. The problem was, it turned out that Peter pettigrew was a double agent, working for Voldemort. When Voldemort had killed Harry’s parents, Sirius was one of 2 people ( the other being dumbledore) who knew that Peter was the secret keeper instead of Sirius. Sirius was able to find pettigrew, but before he was able to avenge the potters, pettigrew cast a spell that blew up half a street, killing 13 people in the process. Then he cut off his finger, before transforming into a rat and running for it, leaving Sirius there. Essentially Pettigrew Framed Sirius for the mass murder of 13 muggles, where in actual fact, it was Pettigrew who was guilty of the whole thing. He handed the potters to Voldemort, he framed Sirius black and knew that he would have to abide his time as a rat until there was a really good chance of Voldemort coming back, especially because he faked his own death. For him to reveal himself to the wizarding world would show everyone else that Sirius was indeed innocent and that he, pettigrew was the one responsible for all of it.

Also what is not mentioned is that Harry’s Dad and friends at school created the marauders map. James potter was Messyr Prongs ( because he could turn into a Stag at will), Sirius Black is Messyr Padfoot ( because he could turn into a dog), Remus Lupin was Messyr Moony, ( because he was a werewolf) and Peter Pettigrew was Messyr Wormtail( because he can turn into a rat). That’s why Lupin, when snape confiscated the map off harry, recognised it and knew how to work it straight away, because HE helped create it!

Only slight criticism is you watch about 30 seconds of the movie then miss the next two minutes talking about your own thing meanwhile all of us see all the important things you’re missing whilst you’re still talking about something that happened two minutes earlier lol

A nice touch since the video seems to get quite out of sync, is to maybe have the movie blurred out in the corner playing/showing, muted ofc, alot easier to stay on track then, had to basically rely on shading and flickering in previous reactions, but its a bit bright lighting u got this time around haha. Around 15 mins in its almost already 6 secs apart. Also all the HP reaction videos u have put up are shorter than the movie itself if im not mistaken hehe :p
