The Blues Brothers (1980) | FULL LENGTH | MOVIE REACTION

Comments

Michele Finnegan

One of my favorite movies and part of the reason this Chicago girl plays saxophone! Let me dust off my copy of this classic and watch with you. So excited! Love you guys

Martin Chetkowski

I highly recommend NOT watching the sequel. Despite having a fantastic soundtrack , it fails to capture the same magic as the original.

The Blues Brothers has always been a special movie for me. It’s got comedy, good music, and ridiculous car chases. Almost without question the best movie that came from SNL. It’s a great love letter to the city of Chicago, and the golden days of blues and soul music. Just a perfect comedy musical. There was a sequel made decades later by the same director, but it’s nowhere near as good as the original classic, and it’s best to avoid that one. It’s one redeeming factor having a good soundtrack that’s worth tracking down on CD or MP3.

Bran the Blazed

The fact that Ash would ever mistake that E Type for an Aston just proves that you can take the Persian out of Persia, but you can't take the Persia out of the Persian lol

Bran the Blazed

No question, Hannah knew more of the songs! When is Hannah coming out with her album?

Eddie Perkins

It was good. I haven't seen it in 40-some years, but now that I have a greater love for music and have been listening to these songs my whole life, I enjoyed the soundtrack more than the movie.

PG Modehouse

Classic! There were so many cameos!

Tiffany Latrice

You should watch the following movies: lights out, The fourth Kind, Come Play, Wrong Turn (2021), The Exorcist the Beginning, Talk to Me, Deliver Us From Evil, & the Exorcism of Emily Rose (based on a true story)

Alex Ocean

I'm recommending "Focus" with Will Smith and Margot Robbie!! SOOO good! Also "Wrath of Man" by Guy Ritchie - same guy who directed "The Gentlemen'. You'd LOVE it Ash!

Tiffany Latrice

You guys gotta watch "That's My Boy" absolutely hilarious

Ben

Triangle of Sadness, widley considered one of the best films of 2022 (Hanna’s reaction would be legendary and iconic for the channel)

ER

Both Ash and Hannah have incredible hair... stunning

John Liebling

Both need to check out Animal House. You'll both enjoy John Belushi's humor.

John Liebling

Don't you recognize Princes Leia? That's Carrie Fischer.

John Liebling

Do you know Aretha Franklin? If not youtube her songs and her incredible voice.

John Liebling

Hannah you want a musical...You and Ash would like Little Shop of Horrors.

Omni

The murderous ex-girlfriend is Carrie Fisher (best know as Princess Leia from Star Wars). The older guy singing Minnie the Moocher is Cab Callaway. You can see him performing the song back in his heyday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGD7yGxzFnQ The lady in the dinner is the QUEEN, Aretha Franklin.

The Blues Brothers were a real act on Saturday Night Live (with Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi) before the movie even got made. Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi wanted to make Soul/Blues popular again after it got forgotten with Disco and Pop in the late 70s. And they succeeded.

How come this is not on youtube?
