Jul 2025: Added a larger foot clip for bigger figures like Malgus.

Nov 2024: Added more character specific hex stands like STAP and Probe Droid

Dec 2023 Update: The normal foot stand has been updated to have a stronger clip for the foot so it is less likely to break. Important change for the sellers who sell physical prints.

Nov 2023: Updated with some newer stands, a new storage tower for the stands, as well as character specific stands such as Han in Carbonite, and a riser arrangement ideal for IKEA Detolfs.

wow, I have been looking for something like this forever. I am new to printing and still learning how to do it. I have printed a couple of these and was wondering if is there a way to print the stands hollow or less filament?

Are you using lightning infill in Cura? Its probably defaulting to Grid or something similar which is overkill for this. I get consistently good results using the following settings on an Ender 3 S1: Layer Height = 0.28 (I used Overture MATTE Black PLA and you can't really see the layer lines with it, even at 0.28 height, certainly not when its on the shelf) Wall Line Count = 3 (would probably be fine with 2 to save some time/filament but I like the extra strength the extra line gives) Top Layers = 5 (if you're going to use lightning infill, this will give a smooth top surface) Bottom Layers = 2 Infill = 15% (can likely drop this lower but this works for me and guarantees a nice top layer) Infill Type = Lightning Z Hop = ON (this is optional, but unless your printer is really dialed in, you're risking colliding with the very fragile lightning infill if you don't use this, which willlcause a failed print when it gets to the top layers). Pretty much everything else I've left as default from the standard Cura 0.28 profile I think. You might want to save it as a profile as if you're like me, you're going to be printing a lot of these. With those settings at a print speed of 60mm/s, I get the following: Hex3Short ~8 hours and uses 95g of filament Hex3Tall ~ 11 hours and uses 150g of filament I could probably go faster but the 7 hour/11 hour cycle works well for me. Print the short during the daytime, when it finishes, do the 11 hour print overnight. If it helps anyone, I've worked out for a standard width Ikea Billy Case shelf, you'll want the following (per shelf) 4x 3HexTall (back row) 5x 3HexShort (front row) 1x 6InchHex (back row - optional but fills out the space) 1x 5InchHex (back row - again optional) (29 figure stands per shelf) Unfortunately to print all of that with my settings above, you'll come in at about 1.2kg of filament, so just over one roll, but you can never have enough Matte Black PLA filament laying around. Plus you'll need some for the foot stands. Better printer experts than me can probably cut that down a bit with fewer walls or lower infil, but I've not had a single failed print of the towers with those settings (and Matte Black PLA is so easy to print). You could save a bit of time and filament by using 1xHex6pack vs 1xTall and 1xShort, but I like the flexibility of the two stands vs one. Plus the time and filament saving isn't really much at all, so I'd rather not have the anxiety of an 18 hour print. Oh and one last thing, lightning infill is great for stands and some of Lukes dioarama pieces, but don't use it for everything as it really doesnt offer much strength other than to support the top layer (15% infill with it is more than enough to support a figure stood on it though).

Michael Jones

thank you for your reply this helps a lot.

I have the Ender Pro 3 and using UltiMaker Cura. The 6-pack stand is too large to print. Am I supposed to scale it? (Sorry I'm new to printing)

Samuel Ward

Just purchased a Bambu P1P and was wondering if anyone here has settings dialed in for these with that printer? I've done a few tests and they look decent, but I'm having issues printing the actual stands (small hex with the foot clamp). Any help would be appreciated!

I printed a 4 inch hexagon using translucent filament with the gyro infill pattern then cut a hole in the bottom and put in a led light that can change color with a remote. With the gyro infill when lit up it looks like a kyber crystal. I use them for lightsaber user figs. I set the color to whatever color their Saber is. Came out looking amazing. Wish I could post pics.

I am new to 3D printing and just acquired a P1S. I've had to print the stands one at a time and use the glue stick. If I try more than 1 at a time or not glue I get warping or failures.

Magna Defender

did you get it figured out? overture matte looks terrible with the same settings on my p1s.

Steven Paluch

If you painted the bottom and sides it could look similar to what the new Holo pucks do

Magna Defender

Does anyone have any updated settings using a bambu lab printer? Cant seem to get the risers top surface or the foot part of the stands to look good. Slowing down and printing cooler doesnt seem to help.

Landspeeder Luke

I’ve been printing them with standard infill 15% with default settings on the P1P and having no issue

Magna Defender

Do you use the overture matte profile? I had the overture marketing/community/ae guy help me and we still can't figure it out. I wish I could pm you pictures because I've been trying since August. You print at 15% grid? In that case it costs $10.57 to print the tall 3 riser. That's almost half a roll of filament.

Landspeeder Luke

Oh sorry I thought you meant the stands. I do the risers at Lightning with default %

Magna Defender

Do your risers have shiny spots on the top layer? 5 layers and it looks bad. Nozzle change, dried filament, speed, temps, nothings working.

Jimmy Rich

I love these! I made some a bit bigger to work with my other fig lines. I would love to get one with two feet slots rather than just one slot. Great stuff regardless!!!

Brandon Busha

I love these stands so much! 🤙🏻🔥

Clive Reynolds

Oh Yes totally agree! My Hoth Snow Troopers are a real struggle to get the foot in.

Derek Thompson

These are great! Any recommendations on which version/how many to fit a wide IKEA Billy bookcase?

Clive Reynolds

I just love these Luke. Is there an Hex that is smaller than the 1 inch, I'm sure I;ve seen one? I usually just move the 1 inch down to around 5cm, but when I need to make more it just loads a 1 inch again, and its always complains the model has exceeded the printing range.

Landspeeder Luke

Hmm I haven’t done one shorter as the idea is you’d just use the foot stand without a riser. You can squish it in the slicer instead of moving it down or move several at once after you’ve filled the bed

Clive Reynolds

Oh I see! Yup, Like with say R2 in the front, the foot peice gets in the way, so popping him on a 5 or 10cm one would look cool. But yea I'll try that mate. I just wanted to say you are just awesome and a very gifted young man! Thanks for all your very hardwork mate!

Martijn Janssen

These are great! One of the reasons ive got a 3d printer. Only downside i have Come up with is the footstands are mainly for black series. There feet are slightly angled outwards, the 3.75 figures i print them for (at 66%) have more face forward feet. So the stands are in a flat side foreward instead the pointing way. Resulting in figures not standing face foreward.

Alexander Warnery

These turned out great for me! Have you given any thought to using foot pegs instead of clips for these?

Clive Reynolds

Hi there, does anyone know where the very small stand holder is, like the one holding Luke in the White pic that says "3d Printable stands". Its available as part of stand packs but not in the Individuals Bases Folder. The smallest is the one inch one. Cheers

Landspeeder Luke

Hi Clive, it's part of the Detolf set but I didn't have it listed individually, though you could take the 1" stand and squish it down in your slicer

Clive Reynolds

Ah yes that's a great idea, will do that bud, thanks heaps mate!

Clive Reynolds

Whoops, I replied to the wrong one ha ha! I forgot I already asked that question. Thanks Luke I will do that, thanks bud!

K1W1 S373N

I just started printing some of these out and wow, I can’t believe how great they turn out! I am gonna go through a ton of filament on these. 😁 Thanks for including the individual towers too. Very helpful indeed for creating custom set ups within my displays.

JonJonFromGuam

If i wanted this to work with the Kenner line what would i need to scale down to?

Ashley Wilbanks

If I were to print these out for McFarlane DC Multiverse size figures, how much would I have to increase the scale?

Jeremy Martinez

New subscriber. Loving these. I'm trying to be a bit more economical with my filament so I used the individual stands, hollowed them, removed the bottoms, and printed them upside-down. You can also just flip them and use vase mode, if you don't mind printing one at a time. The walls are strong enough to hold up the figures. I attach them at the bottom with binder clips. Saves a lot of filament on infill and makes for flexibility on arrangement.

Connor

new at 3d printing but was wondering if there was a way to do lightning infill on flashprint for the 5m adventurer

Teddy

Hi there, totaly new in 3d printing. I figured out how i can x and y for the plate itself make bigger (want to have more space for Mezco Sized Figures Posing) but then i unfortunately scales the footclip bigger as well. How could i separate the footclip to stay the normal size but the plate scale bigger??? 🙈

Nick

I'd imagine 60% to 50%

Juan Rafael

Love these printed these out for the 6in figures! I was wondering if you have any for TVC 3.75in figures ? Or what would these need to be scaled down to? Thanks in advance!

intoddwetrust

Is there a stand that would accommodate Bossk's giant foot? I've printed the "Big Foot" stand but it seems really tight around the toes. If anyone could provide suggestions for what may work, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Jonathan Gearhart

Where can I find the running stands mentioned in the Instagram post from November? Is it included in this file?

Jon Valera Muñoz de Toro

Great!! Although you could put on the base a spike to fit the foot of each figure (each one has holes underneath) thus avoiding the hooking system. What do you think about it?

Landspeeder Luke

Did lots of testing with the foot pegs, there’s too much size variation and with PLA you risk the peg breaking off into the foot.

Philip

Any chance you did any TVC 3.75 testing? If not I'll start with 66.67 scale and see how it goes. Update - Works great for almost all figures

Jon Valera Muñoz de Toro

Perhaps for a resin print it would be a good option. For having another version if you have access to that type of printer.

Erika Rivas

This is so awesome! Thank you

Philip

Works great at 66.67%. I tried a dozen figures and they fit perfectly. Poor little ewoks look like their foot is stuck in a trap but even their stubby little feet fit. Chewbacca's foot kinda/almost fits

Earl

I've been looking forward to this! They look amazing.

jeremy t

amazing! will try that out🙏

Thomas D

Do you have a file for lulu doll from bad batch? Saw the pic and drooled.

Philip

Currently trying out printing 3.75 scale stands in TPU (Overture Speed TPU). Fits Ewok feet much better. I might thicken the base because they are thin at 66.67% Z and putting a big foot in causes the flexible base to warp a little. Would probably not be an issue at Black Series scale.

Amaysing 3D Models

I'm printing these at .3mm layer height and they are turning out great. I think I went with 7% infill.

Carl Turland

Love these - printing so many off for my display! Would be nice to have some wall variations - like the designs on the death star walls for example.

Micah Cleary

Have you painted these or only leave them in PLA? Wondering if the paint would come off on the feet.

Ryan Hendrix

Printing a bunch of these now. Have you considered making the foot hold more centered in the stand? So that the figure faces directly forward rather than needing to do a hip twist? Thanks for making cool stuff.

Michael Sons

Thanks a ton for adding the Han Carbonite stand! You’re the best bro!

mike.d.creates

Here's a suggestion for future release. I've modified the files for the individual towers to have an open bottom surface with the walls around 1mm thick. I then print the tower upside down with minimal support filling the small ledge. This uses less material than any other infill modifications and actually prints faster.

azraels_son

I love your hexagon stands. Please add a version with bigger foot option for figures like Fith Brother Inquisitor 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
