May the 28th be with you!

That still works, right? Oh well. We had an AMAZING May with our TWO Star Wars Shows - one at the iconic York Theatre, and one in the amazing, far off land of Nanaimo!

Previous Shows:

Some Like it Hoth!

Was such a phenomenal show! It was filled with so many new faces, as well as faces that were back from a long hiatus (both from performing, and from performing with Geekenders)

We had not one, but TWO newbies classes (or rather one newbies and one twobies) that absolutely filled the stage, filled the dressing rooms, and filled the audiences hearts... Seriously, it was really neat to see so many new faces taking over the stage and joining the community!

And for the faces of those who returned, it was an amazing blast from the past - one of the performers of the night was Whatsurname, who performed a Jabba the Hutt number that they created/evolved from the Reveal of the Jedi (2014) - which was my first show with Geekenders. Dezi Desire also returned to the stage, sharing it with Draco for a version of their original duet as well from the Empire Strips Back (2014). Sweet memories!

... I could go on and on about what a great show it was, and what a wonderful time we had working with everyone, as well as watching it all from the theatre. You'll be able to see some of it for yourself as well as we receive the videos of the evening - filmed by the fabulous Bea Provocative.

Upcoming Shows:

DRACULA: A Musical Burlesque Comedy

"Listen to them, the children of the night. What music they make"

Meanwhile in Transylvania... preparations are underway for Geekenders' next full-stage production: 'Dracula: A Burlesque Musical Comedy'!

Featuring an original script by Geekender's very own, Lisa Simon (with  some assistance from Bram Stoker), a jukebox parody soundtrack, and plenty of parts to sink your teeth into [pun intended].

So stay tuned for bats and blood and burlesque!

We're just about to run auditions for this bad boy this weekend! We have had an EMORMOUS amount of people submit to audition for this, so it is going to be a good time.

That’s all for now, folks!

XO Jayne Fondue and the Geekenders
