Newsletter #3 (Patreon)

Released October 2022

Hello Transylvanians and other Terrors of the night,

We are well into the most wonderful time of the year, nets are getting fishier, heels are getting higher, ghouls are getting go-goier, and it is oh so spooky.

Recent Show Update:

Pokémon-A-Go-Go (On Tour)

We were so fortunate to have been invited back to Capital City Comic Con. It was a fantastic show, and it’s always so much fun to see enthusiastic nerds doing what they love. Seriously, the Cosplays this year were absolutely mind-blowing. There was full scale BOS Fallout Power Armor, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, a Giant robot that I didn’t recognize, and a bunch of other supremely talented costumers. But also WE looked great, and we got to meet the voice of Ash Ketchum herself, Veronica Taylor! Sasja Smolders asked Veronica if she had any advice for playing Ash, and Veronica responded, “Keep your clothes on”... Veronica then came and watched our show!

This is a super cool new venture that we are insanely excited about. It’s a family friendly, interactive, improvisational scavenger hunt. It’s a huge endeavor, and we are so proud of our team who are organizing it all!

Rocky Horror

It’s Rockytober!!!! My favourite time of the year! We’ll be at the Rio hosting and shadowcasting from the 26th - 31st. This year is especially special because we have an extra special guest joining us, all the way from NEW YORK CITY! One of the cast/organizers of the Rocky Horror Shadow cast in NYC with Fairlith back in 2008/9(?), Eric will be joining us for several nights of hosting, and one shadowcasting as Eddie. I can’t wait to hear his regional calls. We’re also mixing up the cast a bunch bringing in several newcomers, and giving regular cast members chance to try a different character. Every night is going to be different, it’s going to be great.

Soon to be announced:

The Geek Gala!

It is our 10th anniversary of creating Geeky performances and content, and we are so excited. We’ve just signed the contract for this, so you are the first to know! We are hosting our Geek Gala, performance and social night, at the Historic Cultch Theatre. We’re planning a photo booth, and VIP bags, and a Silent Auction, it’s very exciting!

Tickets to be announced soon, but also - if you are a Standing Ovation Patron, and want to attend, please send us a message - we’ll set up a discount code for you to use :)

Kinky’s Delivery Service

Unfortunately, this one is now going to be postponed until the new year, with the Gala & Tricks & Treats taking up most of our October and November planning, we’ll be finding a new venue for it in the new year.

Patreon Specifics:

We’ve got another Geek Gab ready for release soon, and will be recording a few more shortly. Shayan has two projects that he is wanting to do shortly - a DND campaign livestreamed - with Shayan as the DM and 4 of us Geekenders as players. Date TBD. He is also wanting to do a Draw me like one of your Geek Girls twitch stream, so that may come in November or December as well.

We also have The Office Burlesque which should be released asap, and have found a whole trove of oooooooold Geekenders shows which would be fun to watch, both to see how far we’ve come, and because they were fun shows!

As always, let us know if there is anything you want to hear from us <3
