So… where do I even start?

Over the past while, I’ve been diving deep into Stash, and it’s been incredibly exciting. The more time I spend understanding how everything works under the hood, the clearer the long-term vision becomes: true feature parity with Stash Hub — and then pushing well beyond it.

The end goal is simple:➡️ a full migration away from Stash Hub, with Vexxx standing entirely on its own.

Here’s a look at what’s already been implemented.

Set the path to your external moviefy.db

Bulk-create movies with a workflow very similar to Stash Hub

Fast, reliable, and fully native to Vexxx

✏️ Renamer (WIP, but progressing quickly)

Define a strict renaming template

Automatically rename and move files (if configured)

Integrated directly into Vexxx — no external tooling required

🔁 Automatic Scene Updates

Renaming can now be paired with scene updates

Identify tasks, edit scenes, and keep metadata in sync automatically

You can now:

Split a single file into multiple scenes without video editing software

Automatically generate previews, phashes, sprites, and more for each segment

Add scenes to a movie directly from the movie edit panel

No extra navigation or workarounds required
