The Xbox Games Showcase 2024 is soon upon us meaning it's time to unite with Xbox Two for our annual predictions show! Joining us is Rand Al Thor 19 to dissect what feels like another "must win" situation for Xbox. As per usual, we run down the multitude of first party studios, now including Activision, and debate heavily what will make the cut. Will they renew their vows with hardware? Can Xbox manage to massage concerns surrounding some of their lingering games like Perfect Dark and State Of Decay 3? What surprises can they bring to the table?

O

No timestamps!?!?!?

Philip Andersen

I’m predicting the future no longer an Xbox podcast, “an Microsoft Gaming podcast” 😱

Alex Roberts

One of my favourite yearly traditions

Thanks for answering my question guys

I gotta say the Detroit comparison to hellblade 2 doesn’t hold water to me. All the branching paths and how failing a qte can drastically change the storytelling. The order 1886 is a much more valid comparison.

Cog this Detroit to Hellblade thing is so strange. Gene isn’t holding onto a grudge he’s just telling it like it is. Edit- Fixed spelling thanks to a Joseph

Michael Mashpotato

Holy shit 4 hours? What a banger. I just finished last week’s episode. I’m behind on all shows because i was in OCMD last week.

Ealia Staroverov

Why is Rand saying Doom is incredibly successful? It's a very good game, but by no means is it incredibly successful based on the sales.

Luke Knockton

Dragon Age origins better on console than pc? That is an insane take.

Doom Eternal sold 3 million digital copies in its launch month. There's been no official numbers given since then, but that sounds pretty good to me even though some games do a lot more than that. It all depends on what Bethesda and Id's expectations for it were for us to determine whether that is "incredibly successful" or not.

Anyone else having issues with downloading the episode?

I’m convinced that Fable will suck. It’s just what Xbox does now

Bartevious

I loooooooove the fallout show… but Matty. Potentially “the greatest fallout story”? Really?

Garry

Sorry I was late listening to the show but so glad I never missed it. Cog Rand and Marti you all gave a hundred 💯 percent as usual don’t agree with everything you say but that is why I love hearing different opinions and making me question y own views thank you all so much.

Caleb Peacock

Love rand. Cog killing it as usual, corporate champ. Marty love the work buddy keep it up.

When your Patron app randomly crashes and then you load back in to resume the podcast and you hear the starting intro music and instantly get pissed because you dunno where you were in the podcast time wise. But remember there’s usually timestamps and then you see there’s no timestamps And I now sit here scrubbing through until I recognize where I left off😂.
