Smash kids smell the fucking worst. As a relatively athletic socialite who up until about 3 years ago was a sincere casual gamer - I had always pondered the idea of a tournament based around a fighting game, and my favorite was smash. So about 6 years ago, I got in deep. I mean deep lads. Locals every week, friendlies at my house after locals, and even attended some major events over the years. Literal homeless encampments. Think; whole conference centers filled with, tail-and-cat-ear-wearing 16 year-olds that vary between the massively over-weight and the fatally mal-nourished. None shower... and yet all of em could still wash me.

I felt motivated to reply to the listener question about dating (but keep in mind that I have no solution, just sharing my experience)… You don’t need to hear my whole life story but from say 2020 on, I have found dating quite difficult but mainly because I feel like my free time isn’t enough for a fulfilling relationship (family obligations that I feel responsible for, so no complaints, as well as a heavy work schedule). As far as dating apps, I have never used them. I have been fortunate to be in relationships based off of chemistry and conversation, with no ulterior motive… until the vibe changed. 😊 My advice would be to not look for a relationship but instead look for something that you are interested in that has a group setting. Who knows, you may start with acquaintances, upgrade to friends, and evolve to a caring relationship. As crappy as the dating game is, I would say to put yourself in a situation where you are able to comfortably be yourself instead of feeling the need to force or fake something, in hopes that it feels normal later. My last tip is to take the time to get to know someone, without coming off needy/thirsty. I have found that sincere interest in an individual, ignoring sexual attraction, makes them feel special/seen, and can be a great jumping off point. 🤷‍♂️ Hope that is helpful in some way.

If Micah does decide to get a steam deck 100% get the OLED. It has a larger, better screen, it’s a lighter device than the LCD model and has significant battery improvements over the LCD.

Listening to Micah’s complete disregard for game music and sound design made me wince. That’s like 30% of the experience right there, especially for Xenoblade. Imagine being on Valak mountain and not hearing the music! Sorry but that shit right there: blasphemy.

I played Ace Combat 7 back in 2021 but only made it up to Mission 5. I was pretty bad at it and fell off. I’d been wanting to return to it eventually, but Gene’s posts on X inspired me to finally jump back in. I completed Mission 8 last night and holy crap, this game is starting to get tough! Navigating the sandstorm while taking out trucks with spotty radar is a real test of patience, but I feel like I’m getting better. It’s a fun game and a nice change up from everything else I’ve been playing.
