Ello brick breakers, if you could take 1 IP or franchise from either PlayStation or Xbox and make it Nintendo’s what would you pick? All previous entries of that franchise would then be available on Switch 2 at launch. We may get this reality anyway but I’d pick Halo! Having all of those games on handheld plus expanding forge for the Nintendo audience with potential for Nintendo characters to be used (give Mario a gun finally?), seems likes a lot of fun. Love the dynamic of this group and the shows keep up the good work!

Hey punchers! I think it’d be fun to do a predictions contest for the April direct. Brad you do such a good job with those on Sacred, I think this is a perfect opportunity for the Punching Up crew.

Hey this one is for Micah! Just wanted you to know that the Logitech G Cloud is perfect for what you’re looking to do! It’s lightweight and extremely comfortable to hold. The battery life is insane and the screen is really good looking for an LCD. I use it to stream games from my PC so I can play in bed. Anyways, just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy it!

What's up gang! So are we about to spend the next 2 months in the rumor mill again? It seems like Nintendo put a muzzle on third parties to prevent any talk of switch 2 ports until the April direct. I can survive without news until then, but I question Nintendo's strategy this far into the reveal cycle to have 2 months of nothing.

Hello all, with the Switch 2 seemingly being a bit of a powerhouse I’m curious which franchises you’re most hyped to see get the full big budget AAA treatment? I myself would love to see a Fire Emblem with hi-res fully 3D modeled characters and battlefields.

What's up goonicide informers! I know this isn't a Nintendo question, but Micah, I saw you got the logitech G cloud, and I was wondering what you think of it so far? I personally love it as my remote play machine for my series X. I just got all the achievements for rare replay and am now replaying lost odyssey on it through remote play. Also did you guys see the gooneral/vigil they held for the goonicide guy? They had goonicide candles and everything! Anyways keep them socks wet!

Hey Fistees! It was briefly mentioned in a Sacred Symbols episode that Micah got a Logitech G Cloud, a game streaming device. Why? Just why? You were only $100 away from a Steam Deck! The entire Yakuza series is Deck verified, and they all run beautifully! Fellow Punchers, please educate our fellow Sister in Yoshi.

Greetings Switchy Sussies, Childhood gaming is very different that when we grew up. I work at an elementary school and told a 3rd grade and 5th grade class about the Switch 2 when it was announced. Hardly anyone was excited. They all don't feel the need to upgrade their Switch at all. I told about 5 teachers and all of them say their kids have abandoned the Switch they own. They are mostly on PC or VR now. Shout out to the kid who asked for a Japanese PS2 to exclusively play a Japanese Ultraman game. Back in the day my beloved Dreamcast was killed by the thought of the PS2. Strange times we live in.

Greetings Punching up crew! Do you think Nintendo made the right decision to go with ARM-based processors for the Switch and NS2? Sony and Microsoft will most likely have x86-based handhelds in the future, similar to the SteamDeck and ROG Ally. I'd guess Nintendo should have some advantages with battery life, comfort, and portability--both in their base console and future Lite versions. What say you? Keep fisting those bricks. Thanks! Eugene Ahka

Hello Fisters! I've been a listener of this show since the beginning, and in July 2024 I bought a Switch lite and starting collecting switch games. I'm really excited about the switch 2 releasing and all the amazing episodes from you guys coming out way. Keep up the great work!

Hello Upper Punchers, hope this comment will end up being read during the recording of the show. Since the announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2, I stopped playing or even switching on (pardon the pun) the first Nintendo Switch. I don't hate the device nor disappointed with it, I just feel that if I wait a little bit longer (maybe until summer), I will play games via a better and more visually appealing device (Nintendo Switch 2) for a more worth it experience. I did the same thing with PS4 and PS4 Pro, but in this case, I feel a bit sad for the original Nintendo Switch devices as they were my travelling companions since 2018. Your thoughts please.

Howdy Brick Fisters! Not Nintendo specific, but I wanted to ask this question anyways. Last Stand did a live show in Houston a couple of years ago. The theme was “Most Overrated Game of All Time”. Simple question, what game would you have picked?

gothichellokitty

Sup Box Punchers? I'm leaning towards getting the Switch 2, which'll be the first Nintendo console I'll have owned since the Wii and 3DS, so what are ya'lls favorite barbeque sauces? I will accept any sauce besides Sweet Baby Ray's. Cheers, and keep punching that chicken

Simon Freeman

Hey punchlings, How about more metal gear games/content on the switch 2? I would love to see it, but what about you three?

Nick

Simple question: do you think the new Mario Kart will be considered the ninth game in the series and possibly be titled Mario Kart 9 as so many are already calling it, or does Mario Kart 9 already exist under the title Mario Kart Tour?

Headshot Juggernaut

Salutations fisters of bricks and other things, With the ever increasing realization that physical media is disappearing from the other major consoles, how do you think Nintendo’s physical sales for the Switch 2 will stack up against the OG Switch? Better, worse, or the same? Brad you’re muted.

NeO JD

Quick detour for Micah: Micah, Mahomes 3peat? Is this a Taylor Swift conspiracy? 😅

What up gang, warm up question time! How does Bowser scratch his back? Besides having stubby arms, his shell is coated in pointy spikes that make it impossible to itch without getting hurt. Does he steal Kamek's wand and use it as a back scratcher? Does he have a tiny wiggler run up and down his back? Does he have a minion who's sole job is to scratch it for him? Let me know your theories, and thank you for being the funniest podcast on the network.

Jeremiah

Hello PU Crew, Straightforward write in here: with Phil Spencer “really looking forward to supporting [Nintendo] with games that [they] have,” which Xbox game or franchise do you think fits best on Nintendo’s platform? Thanks and shoutout to Micah for dealing with the cluster that is the LSM discord.

Loom Doom

Hey Punchers, If Switch 2 does indeed have mouse support, do you think there’s a chance that Valve would make a collection of Half-Life 1 and 2 for Switch 2? It would be cool to have Half-Life on a console for the first time. If I were Nintendo, it would be something I would push for because it sends a signal to players and developers that Switch 2 mouse support is the real deal and it is not just something you would use for simpler applications such as Mario Maker. Valve and Nintendo could even partner on the physical edition and include a mouse attachment for the joy con with every copy of the game. Much love to you all. Cheers!

Hey crew, I want to recommend a game to Micah called Ken Follet’s The Pillars of the Earth. You guys have spoken about how many listeners recommend random games that they love, but not necessarily games that they think YOU would enjoy. Well, The Pillars of the Earth is a point & click graphic adventure/visual novel style game. The art is gorgeous, the writing is excellent, the story is engrossing, and there are plenty of weighty choices to make that will come back to you down the line. If you look this game up you’ll notice a striking resemblance to Pentiment, which I believe Micah enjoyed. They are similar games, and I suspect Pillars was at least a little bit influential on Pentiment’s development. Lastly, as an avid reader, Micah might recognize Ken Follett’s name as he is a widely read author of historical fiction. Indeed, Pillars is an adaptation of a book of the same name. I’d go as far as to say this game is one of the best I’ve ever played and it is criminally overlooked. I recommend the whole crew check it out, but I think Micah specifically might love it. P.S., I’m not surprised Micah thinks Jafar is hot considering he is basically the cartoon version of Collin.

Hey Punching Up Crew, Leaks suggest the Switch 2 might be priced between $400 and $450. Honestly, I think that’s a steal. In 2025, any console under $500 feels like a bargain. What do you think the final price will be, and at what point does it feel too expensive? Best, Sean M

Hey Punching Up Crew, it seems as though DKC Returns HD takes the co-op from the 3DS version and is not like co-op was on the Wii version. In the HD and 3D ports, once one player hits an enemy, the other player cannot hit that enemy, which breaks co-op, as precisely jumping on enemies is vital to some levels, especially as you progress. This wasn’t an issue on the Wii version, since Retro Studios allowed enemies to briefly be touchable for a couple of frames (for lack of a better term), allowing a second player to jump on a defeated enemy. This feature made co-op possible and allowed it to run smoothly in levels in which jumping on enemies to progress was required. This YouTube video explains the issue on DKC: R HD: https://youtu.be/cqYcUCUFE4U?si=1oyovStxMFiXQUTo Thoughts? Do you think Nintendo will patch this, especially since this issue hasn’t been widely covered?
