Shouldn’t have charged 70 for a game they didn’t think was anything more than AA lmao. But hey that’s corporate fucking greed for you. anyway diving into the ep!!! Best part of Tuesday

Genius but with downs

They should make a game where you play as somebody with downs syndrome

DarthLemon616

What's going on with Pocketcast?

Zack's Nitrous Blue Balls

It's been working perfectly fine for me since they went to the split RSS feeds. Did you add the new feeds? Patreon can link to PocketCasts very easily

Playing lies of P. And man this game is way better than elden ring as a souls game to me. Took fromsoft style and did it way better with a much more interesting setting and gameplay. Fromsoft gotta step they shit up man I feel like elden ring was boring compared to things like lies of p and black myth wukong for me.

Jay

This generation was supposed to be the generation of live service

Zachary

I use to think Colin was going overboard about the punctuation of write ins but god damn! Every time Brad reads the write ins he can barely speak fluently lol. So either Brad can’t read or he’s just more forgiving to the illiterate.

Adam Barnes

“A unanimous 10 out of 10 for most people” Okay, Matty 🤦‍♂️

Bogey

A little bit of both. Probably more the former than the latter honestly. I will say he’s much improved though, used to be a lot worse.

Zachary

I can feel Colin having a panic attack listening to Brad read the write ins 🤣

Diddy’s Dong Quest

This generation is weird. From an objective point of view- the list of games that are at least GOOD to GREAT is extremely huge. But the spirit of the generation feels so hollow. If you don’t just look for AAA games, man there’s a lot to play!

Diddy’s Dong Quest

I miss 90s Square man. We lost one of the best JRPG studios after the merger.

CriiWolf

For real! The 90s run of Square games was a golden age.

Jacob Lesperance

Just finished it in the weekend. Started again right away. I'm gonna get the Platinum for it, I love it so much. And after what Gepetto did too me.... His loyal son.

CriiWolf

Everyone I knew, including myself pronounced Volcom like Matty.

Jim Capron

Can we stop with this notion that games can only have either good art direction or good fidelity? It’s not like you have to sacrifice one for the other. Saying that photorealistic games can’t have good art direction is like saying live action movies can’t have good art direction. It’s a ridiculous argument.

ExpectingRain

I think it’s someone’s chair. I thought something was wrong with my car at first.

Jason Rose

I just feel the people whining about this generation haven’t expanded their horizons for games they play. As you said, I can’t keep up and the quality of games released is as high, if not higher than ever.

Jason Rose

I don’t think it’s only a punctuation issue man…

NeO JD

I wrote in a Sort It Out about the guys slacking on Digimon which Brad didn’t choose, and they still ended up talking about Digimon anyway. Love it. 😅

Diddy’s Dong Quest

Lately I’ve been trying to find more niche indie titles and there are SOOOOO many good games out there!

Benji_B2sick

Ye I don’t think he can read out loud that great. I noticed when he first came over to LSM and was like who the fuck is this guy, he can’t even read. He makes up for it in all other areas though. He’s one of favourite hosts now.

Zachary

Agreed, Love Brad and is shitty reading ability lol.

FlynnTaggartGuy

It has to be so difficult actually to make realistically convincing environments

DarthLemon616

I just realized each podcast has a different feed. Had to linked to all to Pocketcast

Link

Agreed, I mean here’s a list of just the games that were nominated, but didn’t win GOTY this gen. Metroid Dread Psychonauts 2 Rift Apart RE:Village Deathloop A Plague Tale: Requiem Ragnarök Forbidden West Stray Balatro Black Myth: Wukong Rebirth Metaphor Alan Wake 2 Tears of the Kingdom Spider-Man 2 Resident Evil 4 Mario Wonder

Cole

Just moved into a new apartment and thought something was wrong with the fridge lmao

Andrew

More Brad!

Zeta

some people can, but most people can’t speak flawlessly, or translate text to speech instantly in their head. some are better at one than the other, or great at both. if you can read aloud perfectly then that’s cool but we’re all different man

TheWubbz

As far as expectations for game length, I feel like the crew is missing the fact that a lot of consumers judge the value of a game by its length. Hence all this bloat. Already seeing complaints about MH Wilds being shorter than its predecessors

Bailey Callis

I see where you're coming from, but sometimes there is a fork in the road where you either chose stylized, or realistic, and I think that's what a lit of people are getting at, and maybe wording it clunkily

Bailey Callis

I find it endearing haha. I'm not the most fluid reader either 🤣

Bailey Callis

Much more interesting setting is crazy. You're entitled to your opinion, but Elden ring is known for having one of the most incredible settings ever, its what shot that game into the stars. Also it sounds like you just prefer your souls games linear as apposed to open world.

Bailey Callis

Avowed 45 hours playtime already for Chris is insane considering how many games he drops, and how frequently he complains games are too long

Big titty drinker

Eh yeah I think elden rings setting is pretty boring and overrated in my opinion. Especially if you are not into dark fantasy. Lies of p has a more interesting world to me by leaps and bounds but again I have never really been impressed with Elden rings setting to begin with.

Big titty drinker

Also the gameplay is just way better in lies of p everything in elden ring felt so stiff and janky.

Bailey Callis

I respect your opinion, but I couldn't disagree more. Elden ring feels smoother in the hands, has a jump button, has way more attacks, builds, weapons, variety, ect. Lies of P is amazing, but there's a reason they completely copied the from software handbook

Trill Spencer

Hey Chris just so you know, KCD2 runs great natively on the Deck, no need for streaming
