Mischief Makers is a solid hidden gem of 64

Jason Rose

WWE No Mercy gotta be in there. Greatest rasslin game ever made.

Foolish Dominator

I have not played Nuts & Bolts since the year it released, but I really loved that game so I approve of the shoutout here. It had problems for sure, but I think the actual vehicle creation was genuinely very fun

Hustle&Motiv8

My top 5 N64 games, in no particular order. 1. WWF NO MERCY 2. Diddy Kong Racing 3. Paper Mario 4. Goldeneye 5. Super Mario 64

Dante B

OoT SM64 Goldeneye Space Station Silicon Valley Turok 2

Deemac

Oh man I've such great childhood memories of N64. Didn't come out here til 1997, got it that Christmas along with Mario Kart and Mario 64, that shit blew my mind coming from the SNES. OoT was the first game I ever remember being actively hyped for coming up to release, reading magazine previews etc. Incredible experience So many hours spent in GoldenEye multiplayer with friends and brothers. Then there's Majoras Mask, Banjo, No Mercy, Perfect Dark, DKR etc. Good times man

One time, I thought it would be funny to give my cat hot water and see how she reacted. Much to my chagrin, it turns out she fucking LOVES hot water and will turn up her nose if it isn’t hot enough now.

Derpology Mcswag

Why does Hoeg look cute af in that thumbnail!!?!

Diddy’s Lube Guy

Taking the servers down was a bummer. It made the game so easy to download the blueprints from the leaderboards.

Michael Mashpotato

My top 5 are 1: Ocarina of Time 2: Perfect Dark 3: Wrestlemania 2000 4: Mario 64 5: South Park Chefs Luv Shack

The Incredible Shulk

Mostly unrelated, but commenting here in hopes that Hoeg checks them. Pretty sure it was you who recommended Star Wars Outlaws. Just wanted to say, you are spot on. Such a great game!

Lunar Tear

1) Majora's Mask - my favorite game, and favorite piece of media of all time. 2) Ocarina of Time 3) Mario 64 4) Smash 64 5) Mario Party

I absolutely relied on that feature when my simple brain couldn’t come up with a good enough vehicle. Also, just strapping a seat to a rocket and flailing around like a madman was such stupid fun.

Family Falls

I love Hoeg's presence. I like his legal aspect, but I love his game-taking. Even though I don’t always agree with him, he has deep and pragmatic insights into games that I can respect. God of War Ragnarok was definitely mid LOL, I don’t understand the hate for Jeffy or Gene, either. I love it when they’re on the show. I feel like Jeffy is the only person that challenges Colin and gene is just a Gooner lol

Russell Robinson

On the topic of visual novels I have a suggestion for Micah and Hoeg. Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo. It's not that long and it also has some actual game mechanics that make it a little more engaging than the average VN. If you like visual novels and horror it's great. The characters have powers somewhat similar to Stands from Jojo. Give it a try.

I've disagreed with Hoeg on certain game opinions but I'm right there with him on Split Fiction. I love it. Probably my current GOTY. I can't say it's my best game ever, but I can say it's my favorite co-op game I've ever played. It took 3 sessions for me and my nephew to get through it. I'm anxious to jump back in and do a 2nd playthrough with the other character which alters the experience due to the different moveset. Play it if you can.

Cousin Kenny

Top 64 games without a single wrestling game is heartbreaking. But what do I know. I haven’t played half the games they picked, so jokes on me.

Breno Bezerra Bluhm

Hey Micah if you are going to play Skyward Sword next please give it a fair chance cause it’s a great game! Very underrated, and if you are playing on the switch you don’t need to use control movements at all.

PixelJunkie76

This episode was a Micah humiliation ritual. The amount of times Brad felts her LMAO

Michael Thew

Had a Dreamcast that stopped working in the early 2000s, compUSA was still selling new dreamcasts so I bought one, put the broke one in the box and returned it for my money back..

Cruelty-free Pleatherface with electric chainsaw

Oh man, Micah, I remembered you saying you had House in Fata Morgana, but I didn’t know you hadn’t played it yet. It’s one of the most soul-crushingly depressing things I’ve experienced lol.

Mama Micah

Someday I'll get to it but I can't handle a sad story right now LOL -Micah

Top 5 N64 Games: 5) Jet Force Gemini 4) Diddy Kong Racing 3) Super Mario 64 2) Banjo-Kazooie 1) Legend of Zelda: OOT

Damn! Hoeg called Split Fiction possibly the best game he’s ever played.. High praise. The game deserves it, i can’t believe they let u invite friends to play the game for free, 3 games in a row now. Josef Fares gets better and better. It’s so fun to play a game where you don’t know what is next and this game is better than any at that.

Blue

My favorite mispronunciation from Brad is Biblical Jesus instead of Spanish Jesus.

Lunar Tear

The Golden Sun conversation was interesting, especially from the perspectives of people who have only played a portion of the first game. To be honest, I share a lot of the sentiments that Hoeg and Micah expressed when talking about the game. I don't think it lives up to the reputation it has developed over time. However, I do think Golden Sun does something very interesting narratively. It is well established that Golden Sun was intended to be a single game - The Lost Age is the second half of the game. It was split into two segments during its development. But, there's a narrative turning point between the first game and the second game that recontextualizes the events of the first game in a cool way. In other words, the first game has a plot tiwst that's fleshed out and resolved in the sequel, which was written/planned out as the second half of the game. All of that to say, while it's fairly generic in many ways, Golden Sun does have some cool tricks up its sleeve.

Bailey Callis

Been getting a hella Lotta Hoag lately

NeO JD

Wanted Hoag to call out Colin for not playing the Hazelight games but alas

Minji of NewJeans

Brad is so chill, it’s hard to imagine him not getting along with anyone

Rob Pursglove

Great episode, I love the stories the guests have on their individual games. I had no interest in these games going in, now I'm thinking maybe I will play 'This is the police'. I don't like to say it but did anyone else notice the Hoag's audio not sounding great? Im hoping who ever edited it knows and it'll be different next time he's on.
