Good to see Hoeg back and two interesting guests I'd been unfamiliar with so far. I got the SOM premium edition and apart from the repetitive fighting sections, I really like the game a lot. It so reminds me of the Brothers Grimm picture book fairytales I grew up with, and just a little bit of Alice in Wonderland. The art style, the graphics stop motion technique and the characters, the environments and bosses are great, as well as the music, sound design and the daring bits of stories woven into Hazel's journey. Great job hosting, Brad, as always. Greetings from Germany

I am sharing this opinion as a fan of the Metroid series (favorites being Metroid: Zero Mission & Super Metroid), so please don’t be too cruel to me, in the replies. 😆 … I like and appreciate Metroid Prime, as a 3D detour, but I have ALWAYS found the scanning to be a double edged sword. It adds lore and context to the world/galaxy you inhabit but I find that it also slows down the flow. I understand that ignoring the scanning is an option, in story lore instances (not so much for when it is required to open doors) but I feel like that strategy is just putting a bandaid on a larger pacing issue wound.

Did you play Lost in Random? I fell off about 2/3 of the way through but it was pretty cool and similar art style/vibe
