Expedition 33 Review Discussion and Spoilercast (Alternate Version) | Sacred Symbols+, Episode 463

It's true: Episode 458 of Sacred Symbols+, launched late this past May, already provided an Expedition 33-dedicated review and spoiler episode for our audience. But with an unusual number of people having played the game here at Last Stand -- and with it nearing four million copies sold out in the wild, an extraordinary number -- we wanted to make sure everyone's voices were here. Therefore, please welcome Summon Sign's Brad and Defining Duke's Matty to Sacred+, who both join me (Colin!) for another robust and rousing discussion surrounding Sandfall Interactive's maiden game. In short: We all loved it. But we certainly don't all love it the same. Let's get into the combat, the lore, the characters, the world, and so much more... and perhaps reminisce about the possibilities for the future, too. Because if this is Sandfall Interactive's first foray, well... the future is mighty bright, indeed.

Still playing but I can’t wait to watch this when I’m done. Progress spoiler maybe: just took out the first Axon!

This episode is incredible. The conversation is so thoughtful and balanced. The ultimate spoilercast combo.

Just pointing out the irony that every video game world is a figment of imagination, and therefore unreal. When we care about stories and characters in video games we know going in that they aren’t real, but it doesn’t invalidate our caring of these worlds. Then going one step further, you can love, empathize with something that isn’t real regardless of whether it’s a video game or not. Going one step further than that if it turns we’re not real, we can love ourselves.

to Colin’s point on a low level run due to the possibly of not being bit - the issue is damage dealt, if you put the difficulty to the lowest and fight a difficult enemy it would take an hour or longer.

Ryan Diamond

Agreed. An all time combo of hosts, opinions and analysis. More of this trio please.

1:36:00 one of my characters, i can't remember who, had a luck weapon, so their luck was like 40. and it hit like an absolute mack truck. it was fantastic. :)

Really enjoyed, land closest to Colin probably overall. Map by far my biggest issue, even if they just gave an indicator a location was cleared I would have been happy

The lack of a map didn't bother be because I like to wander around anyway. My main issue is the lack of saveable load outs; there are so many different weapon/skill/picto combos that you can come up with.
