Arc Raiders is what I expected we’d get with Last of Us Online. It just seemed obvious following tarkov blowing up like 5 years ago Edit: Forgive me, “what ANYONE who plays multiplayer games would have expected.”

Very annoying hearing the dislike towards marathon. While I don’t think it will make up for Sony’s investment into Bungie, the game is absolutely going to come out, and I think it’s going to be very well liked.

Can confirm that Dying Light The Beast is AWESOME. If you liked DL1, you’ll love this, and there’s essentially no reason to play DL2 story-wise either.

I don't find Atsu or Aloy attractive. They're not ugly of course. Aloy is kind of cute for a ginger. Atsu looks like Akwafina, so just, no. I guess that means I'm gay because I have different preferences then Colin.

Having Jez on to discuss a reckoning on the rampant Xbox fanboyism seems counterproductive when he was one of the biggest parts of it. The championing of everything they did, denying realities of the situation etc. are all things Jez has been guilty of for years. Also, Atsu and Aloy aren’t attractive, but why does that remotely matter at all? They’re not repulsive by any stretch, but I’ve never played a game because I thought the character was fuckable at all. Immensely weird.

Colin keeps saying that Ghost of Yotei is a major step up from Ghost of Tsushima and it's "not more of the same" but then doesn't go on to elaborate. How exactly is it it a major step up? I completed Ghost of Tsushima 3 times on PS4, PS5 and PC. Yotei is absolutely more of the same. And Jin is a much more complex and nuanced character then Atsu. Jin wrestled with honor and tradition vs efficiency in accomplishing his goal. Atsu's story is a basic revenge tale and her character is laser focused on her task. No nuance, no subtly. I'm not saying Yotei is bad. It's a good game and I'm enjoying it. But Jin's story felt like it had much more weight to it.

Boys, it’s totally fine to be able to admit Atsu is not attractive lol but lts equally absurd to have that effect your ability to play the game. Maybe we’re still over-correcting from the 2010’s but it’s so weird to clutch pearls at the idea that men like hot women in such a male dominated hobby.

Do you guys feel like streamers are starting to become more of a bad thing? They burn through content in games so fast and have a vision of how they think the game should be. This sometimes causes changes to a game that the majority of the community doesn't want. Once the streamers get the vision they want they're onto the next game.

I've been loving Arc Raiders. Fun to play solo and even better with a couple buds. It's not the TLOU Factions sequel I've been dreaming of, but it has been intriguing, tense, frustrating, rewarding, and most of all for me disruptive to my usual interactions with other players in multiplayer games. I never use game chat. I usually have it turned off by default, but with Arc Raiders lately I haven't. The opportunity to turn a foe into a friend in a online "shooter" type game is so fucking cool. Highly recommended.
