They got that boy Brad working overtime lol

Pleasant surprise having Colin on. I never lapsed out of Nintendo like Colin but my appreciation for PlayStation grew throughout the years. It’s a lot of fun hearing other’s early stories around Nintendo, especially around Christmas. Happy Holidays everyone!

Child Colin being a curmudgeon about the N64 moving towards 3d games is the most Colin thing I've ever heard

The Blood of Dawn French

Every rich kid I knew said they weren’t rich because they had even wealthier neighbours 😂

Colin loves the nes sequels like cv2, zelda 2 and mario 2 because they are "totally different", yet hates botw and totk because they are "not zelda games". hmmmmmmmm and that's why i love him Merry xmas to all the LSM ppl, u make life better and u r my friends and lovers

I’m used to Colin’s Nintendo opinions but I would counter the point about Nintendo making the same thing over and over. Sony may change up their IP, but the lack of style and gameplay variety is a joke. Meanwhile, Nintendo is very experimental within their ongoing franchises. Pokemon is definitely an exception, but that’s Game Freak and not Nintendo themselves.

Soul Calibur 2 was a big one for me and my friends as well having just hit puberty at that time…

I couldn’t agree more. Is Sony really changing things up when so many of their games are over the shoulder, hyper-realistic experiences where you’re shooting a bow or a gun? I love Ghost and GOW, but let’s not pretend they have some insane level of gameplay variety. I think he gives Sony too much credit for just making a new IP with pretty similar gameplay.

Bisexual Lighting Rigger

My gauge to tell whether a kid was rich back in the day was 2 things. When we were playing with TMNT action figures, if they had the sewers and the technodrome, rich. If they had a Super Nintendo and a Sega Genesis, rich.

Sleeping on the Wii U? Pfft. Everyone who’s unlocked that console will find themselves a machine that is essentially a Library of Congress to the history of video games. Plus it can play every GCN and Wii game natively. Yes, no emulation. ✌️

Big Booty Latinas Can Stay

Colin enjoys games for the wrong reasons—he values characters, story, and setting over what should be the primary focus: gameplay. That’s why he thinks the same characters mean the same game. Ironically, Sony changes characters but the gameplay stays the same, yet he sees it as different. Meanwhile, Sony often does the least, but he believes their games are innovative just because they have a new “skin.” In short, Colin’s analysis is backwards—he’s a clueless Nintendo hater—but we love him anyway

Sometimes I wish I could do a live interview with Colin so I could pin him down on all of his contradictions.

I love Last of Us, but the game design and puzzles are a joke compared to an EAD offering.

Colin, you saying “Nintendo does the same thing over and over again” but then, equally, to be yearning for Uncharted 4 and the next Mega Man strikes me as ironic. Nintendo NEVER does the same thing again, there’s always something different about their games whether it’s a small gimmick or a massive gimmick. You simply outgrew them.

Nick

Did you know Colin has a brother and his name is Dagan?

What’s even more disingenuous about the claim is that we only get a true sequel to Nintendo’s biggest franchises once per generation (sometimes 2, like BOTW & TOTK). So to act as if they blatantly milk their franchises is just untrue. It’s been 8 years since the last 3D Mario game. 8!!!!

Madsines

Imagine telling someone they’re enjoying something wrong 🤣😭 do you not get how ridiculous and snobby that sounds dude

Big Booty Latinas Can Stay

I really don’t care — I said what I said. When he reviews games, gameplay is either an afterthought or completely ignored. If you didn’t know this was a gaming podcast you’d think he was reviewing a movie. If the gameplay is just “okay” but he likes the story, he’ll hand out a glowing review for the entire game. Story can absolutely elevate a game, but treating it as the main course instead of the supplement flips the priorities entirely, and it warps his analysis to a ridiculous degree. It’s like calling a restaurant amazing because you loved the vibes and décor, even though the food was mediocre. Atmosphere is a nice bonus, sure, but the core of the experience should always be the quality of the food. Same principle applies here.

Colin, Micah, and Brad are lowkey top 3 LSM host groupings. Love to see it
