As PlayStation's aggressive pursuit of crossmedia success continues, we have a new piece of news worth considering in the form of the casting of Kratos in Amazon's upcoming God of War series. 6'6" American actor Ryan Hurst has won the coveted role, joining notable writers, directors, and a famous showrunner to make what could very well be Sony's most promising TV property yet. We discuss. Plus: A notorious developer known for more than a thousand asset flip-slash-Trophy farming games has all of its titles removed from the PSN, compelling evidence circulates that 2016's The Division is getting a Definitive Edition on PS5 somewhat imminently, Xbox's Fable joins Avowed as yet another game slated for Sony's console, Call of Duty sales purportedly plummet 60% year-over-year, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! With Colin only a few Platinums away from 200, is there any game he's specifically targeting for the milestone? Following the closure of Meta's largest VR studios, is the pursuit of virtual reality in games officially dead? Could Sea of Thieves be the actual, original extraction shooter (for lack of a better term)? Do we anticipate we'll ever win the Golden Globe for Best Podcast?

The ORIGINAL extraction shooter was the Survival DLC for The Division. Nobody remembers.

The boys are buzzin today!

Strong side!

Hi fi rush didn’t do well on PlayStation

E_DOUBLE

I always thought double spacing meant increasing the distance between sentences/lines on a page, not two spaces after a period. That was the hack we always used in school when you had to have a minimum amount of pages to write for a paper. Courier New font and double spacing format turned 2 pages into 5. Kids won't know anything about that though lol

Not sure if you guys are aware of this (I only found out yesterday since I’ve been having a craving for the division lately an got a pleasant surprise.) The Division 1 got a surprise update at the end of December last year and has been updated to 60fps on PS5. I re-downloaded yesterday and Just started playing an it’s buttery smooth and looks fantastic, I’m having a blast.

ThePrinceMagus

Boys, how did you miss the name on that one write-in? “Ayla Vaynal.” Say it out loud.

Ryan Smith

They knew it for sure

MDoftheNorth

Dustin! Having just returned home from SNA (Orange County airport) last night, I will say that a layover and a little extra cash is 100% worth it for not dealing with LAX. I've made the trip over 30 times for work over the past couple years. Regardless, get some good Japanese food while you're there! Hiro Nori ramen, Meiji Seimen (handmade soba and udon), and Gyutan Tsukasa are favorites.

The Blood of Dawn French

"They have an entire infrastructure dedicated to playing pretend, that's insane." - said by a man on a podcast dedicated to an entire infrastructure based around playing pretend. Love it.

Sekiro is easily my choice for a game that needs DLC. It's a travesty it didn't get true PvE DLC content given From's expansion chops. A true shame

Bananahamcake

Can’t believe I’m doxxed. Also I’m banned on lark street

Billy but not so Talented

Surprised to hear Dustin's not a DLC fan since he's a FromSoftware fan. All of their dlcs going back 5 games are great and makes replaying them a few years later totally worth it. I became a fan with Bloodborne and going backwards to Dark Souls 1 & 2 the dlcs are some of the best parts of those games and the future games.

Black Detective in Dexter

Colin, you would save hundreds of dollars a year if you just bought a Brita filter to keep in the fridge and a nice refillable water bottle. You would save thousands of dollars over the course of years/decades. As someone that is so obsessed with financial freedom, it truly baffles me that you buy a bottle of water a couple times a week. Not to mention you've claimed you're "green" several times a la' your solar panels.

Ryan

Skip chain or memories. Everyone played 2 after 1 back in the day, I think the confusion is part of the fun at first.

RebelliousPilot

Drew Peacock and Isla Vaynal… You all are getting played so easy like Pelaton instructors 😂

hopscotchington

Or even the 5 gallon water coolers. We got one recently and it's pretty sweet. 60 cents a gallon. Used a brita for years, and it worked well

Cameron Sturre

Colin, as a fellow drummer, you should really check out Jamiroquai. Their drummer is fucking insane and is one of the best examples of groove and playing in the pocket. Listen to space cowboy and see what you think.

DIS-Bee

Good show as always

Jack Wittich

No love for Drew Peacock huh? Lmao

NeO JD

“Big and tall. Small and ugly.”

Robert Graham

I will never forget the episode of comedy button Colin was on where they talked about that neighbor. Absolutely killer episode.

Conz Wilson

The prologue is arguably still confusing even if you’ve played it (although knowing who Naminé is def helps lol)

Glen Yelenovic

Colin, I’m a year older than you and grew up on Long Island, they most certainly taught us to use 2 spaces after a period in keyboarding since elementary school.

Glen Yelenovic

Spoiler for stranger things’ ending………………… some of the characters move to Montaulk, set up for a spin-off?

Ira Gibson

Always blows my mind when someone prefers the “sports cap” thing. I hate those and immediately open it the normal way.

BrohemianGrove

This is for Colin and his technique for eating burritos. During last week’s episode, you mentioned your Chipotle burrito order and it brought to mind the time you yelled at a traveling Sony exec for unwrapping the wrapper for a burrito during his first experience. I have been eating burritos for 44 years and never once had to use the wrapper to keep it together. Colin, how are you eating your burritos that they keep falling apart every time you eat them and forcing this doctrine onto others? The burrito enthusiasts in this audience would like to know 🤔

Doug Abaire

Lark street shout-out hell yea!

Doug Abaire

Nah he's right, you keep it in the wrapper and peel down. Especially if you don't trust the burrito roller!

Terminal Creative

I always thought the double space conversation was referencing to the space between lines not after a period. I can’t fathom double spacing after a period

Terminal Creative

The DLC conversation immediately brought to mind borderlands the pre sequel which had its studio shut down before the rest of its dlc released. Incredible first dlc campaign I wish we’d gotten more

Somehow Epstein Returned

I'm coming in here late to just say it's more than a little annoying when Colin pontificates on things he does not know about. His musings about the NBA are no doubt being shown to him by people who already are acting on bad faith about basketball. Maybe look into things a little deeper, NBA is no NFL but it's a very big sport worldwide.

Matt Wiles

Brad excels here. Live at events, he sounds even more switched on and sharp. Asking great questions. Get him to more events to do live interviews!
