Once more, Xbox's summer showcase finds itself on the Sunday of Summer Games Fest weekend! It's there that they'll pull the lid off their 25th anniversary celebration with a deep dive on Gears Of War: E-Day alongside what will no doubt feature the likes of Fable, Halo, and plenty of other games. The Dukes find themselves mighty curious what Coalition has planned for Gears Of War this time around. Much like Halo, Gears Of War is known for its suite of modes that made it so dominant during the 360 days. Seeing how Halo Infinite struggled to ship with campaign, forge, and multiplayer attached, can Gears have a similar issue with its campaign, horde more, and multiplayer? Speaking of multiplayer, will this latest rendition appeal to the wall bouncers or the casuals? Furthermore, how far will the gameplay be taken from an innovation standpoint when this is the youngest we've ever seen Marcus and Dom? The questions are many, but the outcome is tantalizing as Developer Directs during the summer have established themselves as games where there is far more than usual to be shown off. All of our answers arrive on June 7th, but why not listen to the Dukes gab about this and much more until then, right?

This could and should be an all-timer showcase.

FWI The Xmen arcade WAS released on consoles before. I still have it on my PS3.

If Matty hasn't watched AEW in years, then he should tune back in. It's WAY better than he makes it sound here.

Owning a Xbox is about as appealing as a yeast infection. It makes bread.

Glad you had fun at WWE. AEW went through a period where it was uncool to like it after the Punk stuff but they have been on fire since last year. MJF vs Omega is going to be incredible.

Love the rejuvenated energy that has been slowly creeping back into Matty with Xbox and gaming altogether. Salute to the duke boys, with peace and love!

Machine-Xp

Why you gotta do that 🤣

Matty I highly HIGHLY recommend you read The Expanse series. Might be some of my favorite hard sci fi series of all time. The show is great too, but it doesn’t cover the final trilogy, which might be some of the best shit in the whole series. Also recommend the audio book, the narrator is excellent

Walk Forward Cutscene

Not sure if Cog wants to go down the road of player count=quality because that is a very bad metric for both of Bungie’s games right now

Mr. Scott If You're Nasty

I've been out on Bungie ever since they engineered their games to be a job and not a game. I'm not grinding to collect red rubies to trade for green rubies to trade for black rubies for the random chance to get the gauntlet I need to complete my armor set to be able to access the next grind. Bungie games have been effing exhausting. #ThisisaDD

A point I hear Chris often mention is you don’t want the same thing again, and I’m like no Chris, that’s exactly what I want, but in terms of the Halo suite. 😄

Looking forward to the next month ahead and hearing your thoughts on the releases is always a good idea for a segment. Might even sway people to some games they didn’t consider. I don’t mind the leaks. As Matty said, it’s all about seeing the gameplay for the first time. Classic Halo will always be repayable to me so I don’t mind them wanting to try things out or rework scenarios. #ThisIsADD
