Gene and many other PC dudes vastly overstate the appeal of PC to PS/Console players. The lack of physical games isnt an issue to the vast majority of the player base that stopped buying discs during the Obama administration. If you think many are going to abandon their digital library, trophies etc and spend thousands on a PC because sony dropped physical games is delusional.

i mean it's honestly hard to overstate the appeal of PC. the only unappealing thing about PC besides no physical is that it can be annoying to set up or maintain. Steam has a much more secure digital library than playstation, there's a reason why MGS4 being on the upcoming collection was such a win. that is NOT an issue at all on PC. spending thousands on a PC ensures that you won't have to spend anything on another machine for a while. my computer was expensive yeah, but it also means i can basically skip out on ps6 and project helix because whatever they put out will be about the same, and i'm getting this power years in advance. the only digital library that persists for sony starts at ps4, which is a sizable library for sure, but it's tiny compared to the libraries of PC players.

Yeah im not spending thousands only to miss out on Wolverine, GTA6, GOW etc. Needing to play games past PS4 is not a problem most of us have, especially with classic games being ported, remade, remastered every week and all of us having back logs. The power difference isnt going to be as impactful moving foward with 4k/60 being more than good enough for console and even PC players. Your speaking from the perspective of the hardcore enthusiast whose perpetually online. Twitter isnt a real place. The convenience of console alone trumps most of what you said for the vast majority of normal/casual players.

I love the way everyone hates the start of Twilight Princess and it’s probably one of my favorite parts of the game… I love the quietness and the atmosphere in the village whilst you’re fishing and herding animals… it’s one of my favorite memories 🙈😂
