Dr Doomfist

Unless it's answered in the pod, what happened with Marco? Scheduling conflicts?

Lockmort

He sadly had to cancel.

Dr Doomfist

Bummer, today's topic is obviously perfect for him but I still hope he will be down to come on a different time I was really looking forward to it

Michael

For me, I doubt any soundtrack can ever top Skyrim. Banger after banger and it just fit the game flawlessly. A perfect soundtrack.

Jay

Brad you can get non-stim pre-workout with no caffeine in it. Thats what i use because the caffeine messes me up too.

Jack Wittich

Love hearing Cog on other shows. Brog (Brad + Cog) is a great dynamic

I hate the creation engine I hate it I hate it I hate - how the hell we are in 2026 they are STILL relying on that garbage engine is beyond me

John

Brad pre workout is a scam. Have some coffee a couple hours before. It’s not the best to dump hundreds of milligrams of caffeine into yourself immediately before/during workouts. You don’t need that crap, you got this 🫡

IronLion44

I might be in the minority here but I mainly do super-sets when I workout. What that means is you stack two different types of lifts into one segment. So I often take up two machines/areas in the gym at a time. I am super cognizant of it though so if I see anyone approach I always offer for them to work in rotation with me. Surely, Cog has heard of super-sets. Just had to say that. Love you guys!

Mog

Supersets are the way to go especially if you're pressed for time on a busy day and wanna stay disciplined with your workout schedule. Highly recommend.

IronLion44

It’s how I was trained to workout in high school football. It’s just what I’m used to and I don’t wanna change. Glad I’m not alone.

BigDumbStupidIdiot

All I have time for is super-sets. Knock out 5 super-sets in 30-45 minutes and can go back to helping my wife with the kids

IronLion44

I just tell myself to not be a bitch

Gooch Gobbler

I think it's a huge reason I can't connect with their games. WTF cares about 99 sandwiches or whatever? Just give me the good shit

Ben King

Best Expedition 33 songs in my opinion are - Spring Meadows - Cello motifs (for the melancholy) - Stone Wave Cliffs - Lampmaster - Visages - Idéal Mental (which rolls into Portrait Imparfait) I listen to these casually. They’re super!

Frank G.

Yeah it really is a scam. You'd get the same effect with mints.

My straight up top 5 soundtracks at the top of the dome because I don't feel like looking through libraries 5. Pokémon sun and moon. 4. Mega Man X 3. Mario 64. 2. Shatter (ps3 game) banger! 1. Chrono Trigger.

NecrumOddBoy

On music in games, Christopher Larkin is one of the greatest composers ever. His work on Hollow Knight and Silksong are unbelievable and the first time in a very long time where the music is so good, it is identifying with the area or fight as a theme as well as gives some of the most emotional feelings throughout both games. Young guy but already a GOAT in the industry.

The Incredible Shulk

Super easy. Keep Halo 3. Still pretty fun to play, and a solid conclusion. Bench Uncharted 2. Never been a huge Uncharted fan. 4 is by far my favorite, but 2 was okay. Cut Ocarina. I never liked the game. I hated the controls and brown muddy graphics even when it first came out. (I really hope the remake can make it into the game I always hoped it would have been)

Jackson Wilburn

I looked up that Yoshimitsu stage song that Cog recommended and it bangs

Beef Burka

Someone yelled Polo and he had to go find them

Trevor

Love the Brad + Cog vibes 😁 Persona soundtracks are goated. Also starcraft I hold near and dear.

Squint Eastwood

Man, I actually had to think about my list for a little bit. If we're talking exclusively OSTs, then it would probably be (in no particular order): 1. Skyrim 2. Demon's Souls Remake 3. Myst 4. Destiny 1 5. Far Cry 5 (surprisingly great, especially if you like post rock/ambient) If we're talking games with licensed music (again, in no particular order): 1. Crazy Taxi 1/2 2. THPS 1/2 3. Death Stranding 4. Star Wars Battlefront II (EA) (Including because of John Williams tracks) 5. Fallout 4

Cameron Sturre

Shoutout Cog for the ‘in lumieres name’ pick. Loved that song so much I learned the acoustic guitar solo on it.

Robbie (DatLie)

I love Brad, but I’ll never understand the rose tinted glasses with Zelda. It’s super boring. I guess you have to of grown up with Nintendo and appreciate low quality games. Fortunately, I don’t try a Nintendo game until my mid 20s and hated it. Thank you dad for always getting me PlayStation since 96

Danio

My favourite soundtracks: Splinter Cell Chaos Theory Hitman Contracts Payday 2 Prince of Persia Warrior Within The Division Max Payne 3 Deus Ex Human Revolution I don't know the order, I just love them equally. And I listed 7 because I don't know which ones to delete to make it top5 😅

DIS-Bee

Brad is a great host

Cotten

After listening to the top soundtrack segment just want to give some love to the xenoblade chronicles soundtrack blew me away first time playing it 2 years ago

Christopher Ricetopher

Cog might have to hop on the sacred stream for his uncharted 2 playthrough!!

My top 5 OSTs: 1. Chrono Trigger- nearly perfect. Outstanding melodies, unforgettable themes, and the work that Uematsu took over for when Mitsuda was ill is excellent too. Best track: Corridors of Time 2. Shadow of the Colossus- the music is sparse, but when it kicks in, it really hits like a gut punch. Best track: A Despair Filled Farewell 3. Final Fantasy 7- haters will say FF6, 8, 9, or 10 have better soundtracks. But none feel as cohesive as FF7. The synth runs deep here, and it feels like Uematsu at the peak of his powers, unleashed from the limitations of the chiptune era. Best track: Let the Battles Begin! 4. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim- Jeremy Soule regrettably has been accused of some nasty things. I won’t go into it here. But the OST for Skyrim is without a doubt his best work. The main theme, Dragonborn, is a rearrangement of the main theme going back to Morrowind, but who could forget the Nordic chants at the start? The music is largely ethereal and pleasant, but the battle themes are great listens too. 5. Undertale- the hate for Undertale has spread wide, largely because of the fanbase. But don’t let that distract you from the fact that Toby Fox composed the best soundtrack ever for an indie game. He wears his JRPG influences on his sleeve here but ends up making something that sounds better than his inspiration. BONUS: My top 5 video game songs 1. Corridors of Time 2. Dragon Roost Island (with the baseline, not the in game version) 3. Chemical Plant Zone 4. Let the Battles Begin! 5. The Dark World
