To be fair, everything he mentioned has been in the trailers. But I guess if you were going black out on the trailers and promo stuff, then it could be considered spoilery.

To be fair…I’ve avoided trailers like the plague so that I walk in blind. Movie trailers give away WAY too much. I plan to wait until all trailers have aired inside the theater this Friday when I go to see it so I don’t see the Doomsday trailer. If someone says “no spoilers” then I tend to believe they aren’t going to spoil anything. I skipped ahead as soon as I realized it wasn’t a case of “no spoilers”. And I don’t expect to find Spider-Man movie spoilers in my podcast about Nintendo games anyway.

Trailers always spoil stuff, that's why many people don't watch them.

Yeah I was pretty annoyed. Literally said watch out for spoilers out there then proceeded to spoil the movie himself. Pretty weak stuff Gene For context, I only watch the first trailer for any movie because after that they start to show way too much. Also let’s not act like it’s not a thing people do considering Colin walks out on certain game trailers during their live streams for the same reason

Ummmmm not to be a dickhead, but I DO know what spoilers are. And respectfully when I say I’m on a media blackout cuz I wanna walk into the movie blind, I would think you understand that I don’t want to know SHIT about the movie other than Spiderman is in it. I’m sold. There’s no reason for me to believe I won’t get my moneys worth when I buy the tickets. I’m in, I don’t want to know anything about it before I see it for myself. When I saw No Way Home do you know how great it was to be completely surprised as I watched the movie and all the old villains and Peter Parker’s from the previous franchises were in it!???!? Probably not because you watched trailers and knew it was coming. I certainly didn’t expect to hear details about this movie I’ve worked hard to avoid on a podcast about Nintendo games. Again, not trying to be a dickhead, but I hope you can understand my perspective. I stopped the conversation pretty quickly once you started giving details about The Hand as villains and before I can even pullover on my bike in the busy streets of Chicago to shut off the podcast you mention The Punisher being in it too. Sorry to say…..but that info is a damn spoiler to someone who’s been avoiding all media about the movie because they want to go in blind. Again, I don’t expect to hear about it on a podcast about Nintendo games any more than I expect to hear a 20 minute diatribe about some stupid Vanity Fair party that Kojima was at. I don’t think I’m the one being a dickhead here. But hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Why did Gene have to spoil parts of the new Spiderman in this? And I know he’s usually defensive about people “accusing him of spoilers” but 2 parts of that movie were genuinely ruined for me because of him. 🤷🏻‍♂️ careful next time man come on.
