For what it's worth, the Avatar devs also fumbled key features that were supposed to be there at launch (like a ranked mode) and that were literally advertised on the game's store page. It's pretty obvious that game was rushed out the door which is sad because they still managed to drop it at the worst possible time given that Marvel Tokon releases like 2 weeks later.

Matty, make sure you bring up the importance of the secondary market for physical games! Platform holders hate it because they don't get a cut but it keeps the hobby affordable!

Sony put Laufey next to Fable because they canceled the Halo trailer and Gears E-Day port. Lol

I wanted to get RE9 physical for Xbox but as matty said it was sold out everywhere. Thankfully I was able to get pragmata physical on xbox making me one of maybe 100 who did.

They could have waited a few months and dropped a complete game in November or December right before Evo Singapore. Now they rush to release an unfinished game two weeks before their biggest market competitor. Makes zero sense.

I did not know Matty was into games with an old internet style to them. I love the weird sense of nostalgia I get playing those games having been old enough to engage with early internet but not old enough to form core memories of it. I did not know about "Desktop Explorer" so I am excited to give that one a try. If I may humbly throw out a few game suggestions with similar styles for Matty or anyone else like me that enjoys these sorts of games: "Hypnospace Outlaw", "Broken Reality", and "Broken Reality 2000." The gameplay is unique so YMMV, and I played them all on steam, so not sure what is on Xbox. Great show as always! #DDcog

I’ve only played the first 2 missions in Campaign Evolved so far but I prefer them over the classic and anniversary versions. Maybe I’m the odd man out. 😅 Love all the Gears coverage. Hyped me up for the game even more and it was already at the top of my list. Bummed to hear about The Alters DLC. Guess I’ll hold off on that for now. #DDCog

I’m hoping Fable is good, but the combat in the last trailer was terrible.

I wonder if the God of War Laufey release date would’ve been more considerate to fable, but then XBox pulled the Halo trailer from the PS state of play last minute, and they pulled Gears of War from PS, and now PS realizes that XBox isn’t going to be a good partnership anyway, so now they can do things without taking XBox’s preferences into account. Or maybe that’s just me reading into things, but I found it an interesting possibility.

To be clear, I have all 3 current gen consoles so I’m not fanboying here but I’m personally not interested in Laufey or Fable. I’ve already played Laufey twice before so I’ll wait for a price drop and Fable isn’t my kind of game. But I do find it kind of funny that for weeks the Dukes are all about their console exclusive games and all of a sudden with this announcement they are worried about “not enough sales” for Fable. 🤣🤣🤣

To be fair to the dukes, they have said multiple times they're not sure how this will work with some of their games that are obviously costing them an arm and a leg to make.
