Just hearing Dustin say he’s going to miss out on games…. I might write into SS this week about this but; how do you not have time for most games! I work full time and I’m playing Onimusha, Dawnwalker, Zero Company, Valheim, and about to buy Control. You guys have all day every day for the job of playing games! Not being an arse. Just saying, this is literally the job.

Fire Emblem Engage is my first game in the series, got it during the Nintendo customer appreciation sale. A few hours in, I like it so far. I was expecting it to be a lot worse based off the way the collective internet talks about it

Haru Discourse

My copy of Fire Emblem is being delivered on Friday. Excited to get to it this weekend!

Dustin Furman

I do production, thumbnail, and post every piece of content for LSM, have my own channel, have a 3 month old, and a personal life outside of games. Having all day every day to play games would be great, but just isn't the case. -Dustin

Cregger choosing to adapt what it FEELS like to play RE rather than the story is exactly why I loved it. And from a purely filmmaking standpoint I thought it was great. But I respect the opinion, Dustin, and agree with the humour at times being too much. The MC is an Aloy level chatty Cathy!

BigDumbStupidIdiot

I'm a bit a head of Dustin on Leda's (the dancer) path and loving her story. I can feel the Hard Mode difficulty spike inching closer

zepplinmike

I loved the RE movie. I recall Dustin hated key-jangling in a couple of other things. I actually only even noticed a few of those instances in RE, at least in this viewing. I also think I actually enjoy the key-jangling. It makes me laugh and clap (kidding but also probably literally true). Anyway, thanks for reading my Q about Two Point Museum! I agree it’s a bit of a weird thing to have a theme park game in the museum but their write-up on Steam explained it well enough. In the UK apparently they have some cool museums of old timey rides and such, and also they made rides that will fit the other museum themes so you can place a small ride area outside of those. Also I believe they have a history of DLCs being a preview for their next game, so maybe a full theme park or resorts game is next up.

It felt like a story you'd find in a RE game. Like, I could picture Leon or Jill going through the hospital 20+ years later, and finding all the notes and lore that tell this movies plot. I really enjoyed it.

Matt Wiles

Aware of that but that probably equates to me doing a full time job. Plus you do have some help with the baby, of course! If the guy is working full time, usually his partner is looking after the baby. Anyway, I’m not having a dig, I just surprised you don’t have more time for gaming….

SlickMick

Sitting here in the middle of lunch break, Not gonna lie, I was in tears laughing at Dustin’s night. This is why i tune in

Dante B

Dustin - you are not alone. The RE movie was ass and there is absolute mass psychosis around it. Absolutely constant cheekiness without ever being funny, or scary, but wanted to be both. Love RE. Love his prior two movies. Not precious about the games or him doing his own story. It was just ass. 1.5/5 is totally fair.

Dante B

What an absolute bone headed comment. Just stop dude good lord.

Jacob Lesperance

Im too the point with games that I'm just not even bothering trying to keep up. A few a year ill get right away. But, I'm just playing what I want to play at this point.

Derrek Beeck

I'm surprised Dustin was so against the key jingling in resident evil. I absolutely hate that in modern movies but in resident evil it was like a total of five total seconds of some cans and a typewriter. Not even close to the shit that Star Wars or marvel does nowadays. I can't believe my goat is so washed

Haru Discourse

Actually, turns out it’s arriving today!

Vladimir Grabbinmikov

Hey Dustin, do you feel seen after seeing the new resident evil movie? Do you feel seen? Dustin, as a resident evil fan, do you feel seen?

Bogey

Brad I just wanna say I was right there with you on Outer Wilds. In fact I remember during an EZA GOTY deliberation when you were arguing against Outer Wilds I kept screaming “preach Brad…preach” But I have since gone back to it and given it another chance, and just kinda flowed with the gameplay loop. If I died while exploring, maybe ill go somewhere else or I’ll get better at getting back to that place faster. You eventually start to learn the game like the back of your hand That game now has a spot in my top ten games of all time. I HIGHLY recommend going back to it and giving it another shot. Though I gotta say, even I don’t t love the DLC

Russell Robinson

He gave it a 1. Dustin has lost the plot. Best RE movie. That is all.

Russell Robinson

I want to hear Colin's opinion on the RE movie. I THINK he's a bigger fan but I'm not sure.

TheWubbz

I been playing WoW almost all my life since 2006. I only skipped Shadowlands and Battle for Azeroth. I’ll be there repping the horde with the boys FYI Dustin you can give the new skyborne elves non blue skin color. Basically blood elf with tattoo

VanB-Boy 4 life

Honestly, I’m just convinced at this point that Dustin has terrible takes on things, and that’s fine. Now we know.

BigDumbStupidIdiot

343 cut almost 300 jobs and Activision is getting Halo. Least surprising news out of XBOX maybe ever

They Now Call Me UNC.

All of LSM & it’s audience has bad takes! I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Russell Robinson

It doesn't. Don't mistake my comment to mean I enjoyed the other ones. I hated all of them. Doesn't mean that this one isn't good. Did you see it? What's your opinion good brother?

IronLion44

I had a few friends that were at that AFI show Brad. Looked like a good time.

SlickMick

touch grass dude

MnTwinsfan92

Gotta say, as first time parent with a 1 year old, full time job, plus life = about 1-2 hour of gaming a day fully dependent on the day... Help with a kid/childcare doesn't automatically mean you can game. It usually means cooking, cleaning, laundry, or sleep at that stage.

MnTwinsfan92

Agreed! Not sure how Colin and Chris would have reacted lol

SlickMick

This combo of Dustin and Brad is so good

Haru Discourse

On Raisin’s question, the game I probably differed most from the critical reception on recently was The Callisto Protocol. I totally loved that game!

They Now Call Me UNC.

My opinion is I’m not going to a movie theater because you spend so much money! Wake me when it comes to streaming.

Big Devin Energy

So ignorant. Lol I have a full time career in management, 2 kids 9 & 1 - I game 2 hours every day when my kids go to bed and I have not touched a new game from this year yet and haven’t caught up on most of the games from last two years. Adults can’t play all the games man. Don’t judge.

Screwed Mcfucked

My hot take is that Resident Evil Village as a whole is better than Requiem.

Matt Wiles

And what about Brad? I didn’t ’just’ mean Dustin. Finding it funny to see how defensive everyone is, when all I’m doing is asking a question and posing a suggestion for improvement. I’m having to go to Kinda Funny (who I hate) to hear their game thoughts, as they cover most of them, and are the only similar sort of podcast setup.

Jason Thompson

Super Mario will alwasy be a first round exit for me, never a fan

They Now Call Me UNC.

I don’t like the way Double Fine has been moving recently. All that time funded by Xbox and they put out low effort, forgettable games compared to their other IPs (Psychonauts 3 & Brutal Legend 2). Now they want the audience to fund all their projects and expenses without having the forethought of reducing the scope of new projects. Man, fuck yall!

Foolish Dominator

Dustin man… the RE movie was like the complete opposite of key jingling. Literally none of the things he mentions are front and center. The type writer and med spray appear in the back of a shot for like 4 seconds total. Key jingling is if they make a big point to show you those things. Silly reasoning.

Big Devin Energy

I listen to them too but it’s not real coverage. They’re bought in and sold out so you can’t trust their opinions.

Mama Micah’s goon milk

Absolutely. You can’t be wrong for your opinion but somehow this was wrong. Zelda is better than halo, the sky is blue, these are facts.

Orpheus148

Classic WoW is my main game, I love hearin Brad geek out over WoW: Forever!

Russell Cottrell-Garrett

Very, very minor correction for Dustin, but Roller Coaster Tycoon wasn’t written in a very high level programming language - it was a very low level language - Assembly. As a rule of thumb, the easier a language is to read and write, the higher level it is. Assembly is hard at the best of times and writing that game in it like that remains one of the most impressive technical achievements in gaming history.

Michael Limauro

Sheetz trip and deer getting hit is classic western PA vibes. My dad totaled two cars in the past 10 years- both from deer. Now I live in Atlanta. More hawks than deer!

STEEN

I’ve never played WoW but I’ve always wanted to try it out. Just never had any friends interested in it. If you start a guild I’d definitely join in.

NeO JD

The bracket segment continues to deliver. Keep it up!

Beef Burka

Yeah Raisin, Days Gone is great, but I think the critic score for it suffered a lot because of the buggy mess that was presented too early before the game's launch. I am also more luke warm on 007: First Light, but that's mostly because to me it is an Immersive Sim light type of game, and the long loading times, lack of manual saves and horrible checkpoints prevent you from experimenting as much as you should with an Immersive Sim

ZMD

Currently playing through Quantum Break again and just as awesome as when it came out. I enjoy playing for a little bit and then taking a break and watching an episode.

C

This is perhaps the most ignorant comment I’ve read 😂

Save The Game Media

Just a tip for Fire Emblem for Dustin and Holly - finish one character’s Part 1 then switch and do another Part 1 - you get a lot of Boons that make additional characters paths go so much faster

Stewy108

Really enjoyed the new Gamer Bracket segment. I wanted to mention this in Chris's episode but forgot. 🎮👊
