Halo Infinite's Massive Potential ft. ChrisRayGun | Defining Duke: An Xbox Podcast, Episode 3

Today, Defining Duke invites in their very first guest to show, Chris Ray Gun! Chris sits down with Matty and Karak to mull over the 29 confirmed exclusive games dropping in 2021, but it always came back to Halo. Whether it is a flagship IP or not is up for debate, but the reality is that Halo Infinite is currently Xbox's biggest announced game coming soon and that means a lot is riding on it. From the free-to-play multiplayer, to valuable lessons learned by 343, to the campaign, Halo Infinite has all to gain or lose. The boys also sink their teeth into new major additions to Game Pass and Microsoft shopping for big studios to acquire. For a company that just acquired Bethesda, it looks like they're not done yet, but who's next? That along with the future of Ninja Gaiden, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and more squeeze into this week's show! Let's discuss. Early access to new episodes will go live every Thursday ad-free at 12:00 PM EST at http://www.Patreon.com/LastStandMedia. Episodes will be available publicly three days after. I'm imagining those circular lights are Karak's eyeholes staring right back at me.

Great episode gents, It was really interesting to hear the discussion about Xbox fan apathy. I kind of wonder if the pre Phil Spencer era that seemed to lean into the bro shooter culture contributes to it. As a longtime PlayStation guy, I came back to the Xbox ecosystem because of backwards compatibility and gamepass. While the day one first party games are hit or miss for me, it’s the really great indie games that I feel are completely undervalued. Ori and the will of the wisps is a soul crushingly beautiful masterpiece that rivals the experience of Journey (aesthetically, emotionally, and musically) with amazing gameplay.

I dont want to sound like a dick. But I really wish the sun glasses guy would just bring it down a few notches. Its honestly hard to listen to some of the rants, I have to shout over the podcast to stop myself from cringing. I think he has some really good points. But they get lost behind being so aggresive and those sunglasses.

Please pass it on to Chris, his OLED can do 120hz. It'll just be 1440p or lower, maybe even cap to 1080p but it does work. I've done it myself with the same model. Dirt 5 and COD Tested.

The LG CX is currently priced around $1500 and supports 4k 120hz/fps which is not "$2000" more. Very good points about a bright room and new tech coming out, but that new tech won't be sub $2000 price for a long time.
