SEGA 'Super Game' Leaks + Halo Infinite's Second Wind | Defining Duke Episode 68

JET SET RADIOOOOOOO! After all this time, it looks like it may be finally back. Even 'crazier,' Crazy Taxi also looks to be in the mix as both series are set to return through SEGA's mysterious "Super Game" as fully developed AAA games. Despite Matty and Cog's optimism, we can't help but feel some ominous energy emanating from this new venture of SEGA's in a world full of microtransactions and NFTs. Furthermore, details for Season 2 of Halo Infinite have arrived and things are looking up for the struggling service game. New modes, maps, and even more details on the leaked Battle Royale mode. What do the boys think of this second wind for Xbox's flagship IP? Plus, more on Star Wars, Marvel, and DC games as all have announcements (or leaks) of their own this week! These are all topics that can bring people together, but what of your utensil of choice for Mac & Cheese? This is what separates the men from the boys and we are about to learn a lot about each other in this episode. I agree with the writer about Nomura. To me a director in film or games having complete creative control is always more interesting even if I don't agree with some decisions because it can result in a masterpiece or at least something more unique or interesting than something designed by committee. I'm all for crazy ideas I don't want creatives to be reigned in because you might lose some great ideas also

The term "La Li Lu Le Lo" is only used like twice in MGS2, and it's meant to be more like a code word, based on the Japanese language system which is built around attaching consonant sounds to the vowels A,I, U, E, and O. The term more commonly used is "The Patriots". I would say the stranger thing to get over is the idea that Liquid's consciousness survive in his detached arm and invaded Ocelots mind when it was attached to him. This is introduced about 30 seconds after the Marine commander first says "La Li Lu Le Lo".

On the SEGA "Super Game" segment, I wanted to touch on a small comment made about SEGA helping publish Persona. Let's not forget that Atlus is a completely owned subsidiary of SEGA since 2013. I feel like this small (not really small) thing seems to keep being overlooked. It could have just been worded oddly when "helped published" is used in regards to their own properties. Seems like Sega is also open to licensing out some things as they do still own House of the Dead. It is a surprise actually, as I think more companies may want to license out remakes of dormant classic franchises.

Is it out of the question that this "Super Game Initiative" from SEGA is just one big game that combines titles like Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, and others?

Forks for mac n' cheese all the way. If you have a soupy mac n cheese where you require a spoon to pick up all the extra cheese, you made it wrong. If you have lobster mac n' cheese, do you use a spoon to pick up the lobster? Do you use a spoon while eating tortellini? Savages lol Cog i'm with you

Ty Kellington

I can deal with a lot of atrocities in life. A spoon to eat mac N cheese is not one of them. However I agree w/ the boneless wings and fork. So I just don't know anymore. I guess I'll have to wait for a third scenario to break the tie.

Oddly enough Matty also eats m&m's with a spoon and twizzlers with chopsticks.
