Welcome one and all to another episode of Constellation. The Brothers Moriarty are joined this week by Sacred Symbols co-host Chris Ray Gun and LSM Executive Producer Dustin Furman. Chris gets into the nitty-gritty of his experience at Creator Clash 2, fielding questions from the boys about his boxing experience, and if he'll ever do something like that again. Dustin ponders the early days of the Internet, and wonders what we'd consider our formative experiences online, particularly in those nascent dial-up days. Dagan wants to know if we're beefing with anyone, and how we've historically dealt with grudges. And finally, Colin presents the squad with a visual quiz: Can they identify any of these 16 professional sports logos from the NHL, NBA, and NFL? The results may not surprise you.

Dagan, if it makes you feel better you were probably not rejected by a person for that job application with it being that quick. It was probably an AI that filtered through your application. So much of current job market is dominated by machines that will toss out applications for not meeting unlisted criteria. Usually if they are not poaching you from a bigger company. In your industry case, Disney or Pixar. And yeah. It sucks. I had to fight that fight last year, and it is rough. But i did eventually succeed. So good luck with your war against the machines Dagan. James Cameron has prepared you for this day.

Going through my first post-grad job hunt as a UX/UI Designer, so it was comforting to hear this intro after realizing I'd been strung along by my internship for the last 10 months only minutes before beginning the podcast. Searching for a job in tech is hellish right now. If Lillymo or Last Stand needs a UX/UI Designer (I studied Interactive Media and Game Design at the University of Miami)... ya know... ^_^

Yup, I would recommend passing your resume through an ATS reader to ensure that it's passing through AI screening. Some websites allow you to post the job description alongside your resume to see how well they match up (keywords, skills etc.) Also I ran into an issue where a lot of the text on my resume wasn't even readable by a computer because of the opacity setting I used for hierarchy. Despite it being clearly legible, it didn't register as text on a .PDF file!

The Canadiens whole logo/naming needs a refresh. I always thought the Titans logo was decent. Dagan guessing Trailblazers after you had already done it earlier was hilarious.
