Octopath Traveler II Review Discussion & Spoilercast | Sacred Symbols+, Episode 305

Square Enix has paved the way to a revitalization in pixel art games thanks to their HD-2D art style. The first title to debut with this 2D/3D blend was none other than Octopath Traveler and, today, Matty and Micah dive deep into its sequel. From the individual character arcs to how they intertwine, we get into our personal favorite and least favorites alongside the massive leap in quality from the first game to the second. As always, we begin in non-spoiler fashion and then get into the nitty gritty in the second half of the show!

I'll put this so there's a comment.

I’m shocked Micah has it as a front-runner for game of the year. She sounded so negative on it during Punching Up.

I actually didn’t have a problem with that one. Maybe because I did some harder ones beforehand. For me the hardest bosses were the people in the Tower to get Conjurer, Hikari’s brother, and then I didn’t even beat the final boss. 😅

1h21 min and zero mentions of my girl Ochette- which makes sense when you say you needed to grind. OPchette is god tier. And thank you for reading my question :)
