Surprise! A Nintendo Direct was announced and aired, so naturally, we knew we had to cover it as soon as possible. So what were the heavy hitters? Nintendo is naturally leaning into the success of Mario with two new releases this year, a remake of the Super Nintendo Classic, Super Mario RPG, and a new 2D Mario called Super Mario Bros. Wonder. In addition, we got a new look at the upcoming Pikmin 4, along with brand new ports of Pikmin 1 and 2 that are out today. Looking ahead to 2024, Nintendo showed off a new Princess Peach game as well. Don't agree at all. No prime 4, no spoon 3 dlc, no hd zeldas from wii u. Just bland, full of mobile game farming sim trash with 1 marque title (mario rpg) and Pikmin, probably the worst selling Nintendo franchise (To each their own on that front). Really feels like a dead console to me. Happy for people that found something they liked but it was a yikes for me. Cant wait for Switch 2 if this is the calibre of titles were getting from now on. Got a sneaking feeling Prime 4 is cross gen or Switch 2 only, and the spoon 3 DLC is the final major release on Switch end of next year before they cut support of all games. But for the June Showcase (the typical E3 direct slot) to be this bad? Just sad really.

Not getting what you want doesn’t make it a bad direct. Wtf kinda logic are you using?

When you guys were talking about a cute soulslike it just made me think of Hollow Knight. It's cute, fucked up and it's half souls/half metroidvania. Pretty awesome game, i'm sure you've never heard of it :P

Just to clarify on pokemon. There hasn't been any meaningful performance updates. Game Freak will most likely copy what they did in sword and shield: make the dlc areas a conpletely disconnected small area that they can target a better performance at.

Be dead honest, you sound like a spoilt child and this feels like the type of thing you would see on twitter. The console is obviously coming to it’s end, you’ll likely get another direct in October or that with the new console revealed for next year and what not.

For me with SMB Wonder, I'm just stoked that they added Yoshi as a playable character. Daisy is a cool addition too, but we haven't had a Yoshi-playable game since Wooly World. This will especially be rad if you can play as a YoC (Yoshi of color), give me Red or Black and I'm set.

As for 1,2 switch it's Nintendo trying their hand a something like jack box they have been popular and seems like it was going that way with more physical activities.

Dear Gene, I do not owe Chris Pratt an apology. Being "fine" is not commendable. He didn't ruin the movie, but I still think it would have been better with Charles.
