This Is Dustin. We have created a new episode of Punching Up and it’s ready for you to listen to right now.

The Legend of Zelda movie is real, but there are some deep concerns. First, is live action the right approach for the franchise? Second, are the people attached to the project the right choice? Lastly, Nintendo has opted to make the film with Sony instead of their recent partner, Universal. Let’s break down all the details and see what we can glean from the information we currently have. In addition, Nintendo’s recent financial report shows the Switch is still thriving seven years after its release, and the company shows no signs of slowing down. This may be the most jam-packed episode of Punching Up yet. Please enjoy!

Dagen did not say "riced out" when he was talking about that wrapped one piece car.... 🤣

Michael Mashpotato

Insert meme - One does not simply make a Legend of Zelda movie.

Since they're doing live action, I think it would be cool if they were able to shoot it like Jackson's Hobbit trilogy. That look and depth in frame is so good for fantasy imo.

LinkaFresh

You make Link look like Robin Hood.

Sonic mania had sonic go small and into the background

I largely disagree with Dustin about the Mario movie. I have even harsher feelings towards Avis involvement in this project tho. The Mario movie was never gonna be great but the Zelda movie had some promise. I’m willing to admit it still does if Avis involvement isn’t as prevalent as an Amazing Spider-man 2 or Fantastic 4: Rise of the silver surfer. I love those movies but not for the same reason I love film if that makes sense

I want to say that warp pipe background thing was in Thousand Years Door. Other non Mario games have done it.

Sorry folks... the question is "What's the crack?"... Irish just spell it "craic". Thanks for all the suggestions, the question did exactly what I hoped it would and added a number of titles to my wishlist!

Trapgunner

Gotta agree with Dustin on the Minions take.

When you say bi-weekly I hear fortnightly. What's a biweek?

Watch the Zeltik video on the Zelda movie. It definitely changed my perspective a bit on the whole live-action thing. I’m still not 100% sold but it is an interesting take that nobody is talking about.
